    RWO Swan's Team Line Up

Many of us have listed the possible ins and outs for Saturday and given an opinion on who should be dropped etc.

Bearing in mind that Doyle, Ball, Saddington, Williams and Fosdike are unavailable (COuld Ball be back for Sat.?) here is my team line up. What's yours?

    Backs: Barry Schauble Nicks

    Half Backs: O'Keefe C.Bolton Maxfield

    Centre: Dempster Davis Ablett

    Half Fowards: Kennelly Goodes Malceski

    Forwards: Schnieder Hall MOL

    Followers: Jolly J.Bolton Kirk

Int: LRT (only because of WC height) McVeigh
    Spriggs Powell

Therefore Ins: Schauble, Powell, Malceski, Maxfield
    Outs: Crouch, Matthews, Bevan, Buchanan

OK...Try O'Keefe working off the half back line, providing some run, good overhead mark too.
...Schnieder to sit at Hall's feet and wait for the crumbs. Havn't seen a crumbers goal from us in a while.
...Davis to play in the centre, touch of class and get him working.
...Try Kennelly out of the hf line, quick and could be a nuisance to WC defence.
    ...Nicks on Matera
...Maxfield off the hb line to provide some agression and rebound off the half back line.
...Give Malceski a run and perhaps Powell as he could be handy with the WC talls.

Crouch goes out with injury (seemingly hampered) whilst the rest on form.

    It's only an idea!!

    Backs: Barry Schauble Crouch

Half Backs: Kenelly Bolton C LRT

    Centres: Ablett Maxfield Matthews

    Half Fwds: Pebbles Hall Goodes

    Full Fwds: Buchanon MOL Davis

    Ruck: Jolley Bolton J Kirk

    Inter: Schnider Dempster Nicks Bevan

    INS: Maxfield Schauble

    OUTS: Spriggs Mcveigh

I thoughjt we needed more height in defence so brang in schauble.
I dropped Mcveigh cos he is simply unaware of thinhs around him and his disposal is pathetic.
Spriggs doesnt get much ground time and when he does to me he doesnt grab his chances with both hands.

Anyway thats me the WCE are also very quick with the likes of Judd cousins and kerr so we need speed as well as height
    very hard to pick

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

McVeigh got run down once - by the quickest bloke in the competition. Yes, he probably should have been more aware but also should have had some help from team mates. He then proceeded to play fine and his disposal was amongst the best in the team.

Spriggs was also far from the worst on Saturday and was useful in getting the ball out from packs. Wasn't entirely his fault that the team couldn't use the ball when they got it.

And you say we need speed, plus we are playing on the largest ground in the competition. Why would you drop two players with excellent endurance and decent footspeed?

McVeigh is the new sacred cow, his first kick on Sat night hit a melb player on the chest as we were going forward, he did have one nice pass to Mol, he tends to pop the ball up when he kicks some times and I agree his disposal and awareness are not the best.

But others here think he has the best potential on the list, it will be interesting how he develops over the season

          Cheers
