    We are genuine contenders

    For the spoon.

    We can't kick,
    We can't handball,
We have the worst ground (it is too small)
We have a coach who doesn't have the balls to make team changes or try new players,
We have a coach who continues to use a floored game plan,
We play a style of football straight out of the Yarrawonga under 8"s training manual (all 18 players just run up and down the oval in a group chasing the ball)

So if you can get any decent odds from the bookies, it may well be a good investment.

We are true duds. I get so pissed off when i see other teams do simple things so right. I get frustrated when i see forwards from other teams lead in the correct fashion and not out wide.

The things is, even if we came last and got priority picks, they will prob trade them for an established midfielder on his last legs.

The whole club is a shambles...i keep saying 72 years is not a proud record and should be fixed asap.

Your right, to have lost 2, and probably 3 in a row, we are definite duds, give us the spoon now. Heck i cant even remember when we had such a bad start to a season, oh actually, i think 2003 rings a few bells...
      - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

If you cannot see that its just much more than losses this time around, then your a fool.

Do you watch other games? Do you watch how other teams play footy? Our skill level is atrocious and players are just getting dumber.

So, with the current list, do you think we will reach the heights we did in 2003? I don't think so.

Yes, I firmly believe that we can reach the dizzying heights of being eliminated in the finals.

And even if it was on the table it would still be inadequate. We really suck this year. We have no depth but a thin spread of mediocre midfielders. Our one star, Barry Hall, looks as though he has lost a few kilos and has his mind on other things. Leo and B2 can't play out of their weight divisions season after season. ROK left his form at the barber's at the end of last year and has not been back to pick it up. We re-delisted Hamstring Heath and then re-listed him again to play half a season of reserves... It goes on and on... Crouch and MOL not fit but no depth to cover them. LRT would not be on the list at any other AFL club but he is our great hope for a KPP. Schauble on the indefinite injury list. William and Maxfield showing their age... We are a rabble.

But then I guess it is your only chance this year to see your team, unless WC or Freo get a home fianl against us!!!

That's the kind of positive spirit we are lacking on this board.

I wish the club could just accept it and go for draft picks for a couple of years.

As much as I will still go to the games every week, and hope for them to win, I would much rather the team finish with 4 wins and 16th rather than 10wins and 9th.. We havn't had a priority pick in 10 years, you can't say that about many other teams.
