Select two teams

I think enough has been said over the last week or two about the Swans pitifully defensive tactics in the games against Adelaide and Melbourne (which I could write a thesis about) therefore, I have been thinking that the coaching staff/Match Committee of the Sydney Swans should select two teams before their next games in future - that is if they haven't already done so.....

The first team should be selected straight after a game when emotions are running high and the coaches have pinpointed players who contributed significantly the defeat or didn't contribute at all to the win and therefore have had the player earmarked for a Reserves game the following week.

The second team would be selected as per usual on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday afternoon after the last training session for that week and after injuries are evaluated and they have reviewed the match in detail.

The coaches/Match Committee could then evaluate both teams selected and come to a general consesus on who should REASONABLY be left out and made way for a player who could add more to the teams performance in the following game than the player made way for in the previous game.

I say REASONABLY be left out as I think the coaching staff are less harsh on players later in the week and consequently won't drop players when their emotions have cooled down and they have reviewed the game in every way, angle and detail possible whereas sometimes your initial judgement on a players performance after the game is usually the best judgement.

For some reason, I believe that the coaching staff only select their team later in the week and therefore players like Bevan, Matthews, Buchanan, Maxfield and Crouch (not fit at present) have been given the benefit of the doubt on selection this season.
