    $5.75

Head to head, they are the odds for Sydney.

Margin betting, it's $6.50 < 40pts, and for the bravest amongst us, $31 for 40pts+.

I'm tempted to put a Terry Jenner or Land of Plenty on the <40pts, as somehow if we win I'm thinking it won't be a shellacking (!!!). Alternatively, I could put my money towards my kids education.

For the more conservatively minded, WCE are $1.10, $2.30 & $1.85

For the punting illiterate does that mean if I put down $10 and the Weagles win by less than 40 I get $65 thereby making $55?
I have never placed a bet before but that seems like it would be worth it. I blow more than that on other stupid things (tickets to a Swans home match )

Er....no. If you put $10 down on the SWANS to win by <40pts (and they do so), you receive $65, a profit of $55.

If you put $10 on the Eagles to win <40, and they do, you'd get $23, a profit of $13.

I have better things to spend $10 on than just throwing it to the TAB.

The last winning bet I had was when Light Fingers won the Melbourne Cup and I think St. Kilda won the VFL premiership, so I might put a bet on West Coast and we might win.

Galilee won the MC in 1966 which I think was St Kilda's year. The cleverly named Light Fingers (sired by Le Filou - apparently French for pickpocket-) won the MC in 1965.

I just put $5 on us to win by 39 or greater... I also put the same bet on the weagles, so i reckon that at worst ill be getting $12 back from the $10 I laid down.
