A Blueprint for the Future - 10 Year Plan

I have a new plan, it's a ten year plan.

We sack everyone at the end of this season, board, coaches and players.

We break all the contracts and pay out approximately $12 million in severance.

We then start with a clean sheet (except the balance sheet that is).

We then have a new whole range of players to bag, and thus relieve the boredom of just bagging a select few, Jude, Sadds, Bevo etc etc.

We will appoint a coach with "cred" perhaps Malthouse or Sheedy or even bring back Norm Smith, and this may well bring us wild success within 3 to 5 years.

I hope I can depend on your continued support as members during the tough years!

Malthouse already has credit as far as i'm concerned. He recently got a fairly average list - similar to Sydney's - to the last day - twice.

I like it. If we're going to bring Norm Smith back, can we also bring back the team from the Blood-bath grand final?

Would not go anywhere near Malthouse with a barge pole.

Great at getting a couple of good years out of average players but does not have the guts or ability to assemble a list of players that can take a club forward over a 5 to 10 year journey.

And before you say what about West Coast. He was in the right place at the right time with them, when they came into the compertion they had one of their strongest Under 19 WA teams ever and the Coaster were able with their concessions take anyone from that team to build a list. They got Jacko, Matera, Worsfold, Mckenna, Sumich etc all from that one under 19 team.

        Talk about timing.............
