I made the point the Swans have had poor start to the season before and turned it around.
Maybe it is the manner in which the swans are losing?
A couple of last quarter hidings is more than some people can take. Obviously when the losses are close it is easier to be more optimistic (less pessimistic?) and only a few individuals cop the bagging.

It is the way that they are playing that is causing so much grief. I expect them to win 2 of their next 3, maybe 5 of the next 7 and be comfortably in the 8. I also expect them to do it by strangling the life out of games against weak opposition and winning with 8 goals to 6. We will be in the 8 but it will mean Jack Schmidt because we wont have improved, we wont have developed a game plan that can beat the top sides, and we wont have brought any kids into the side that a competitive game plan can be built around. If they win 5 of the next 7 by playing decent footy then yes, where we are now is irrrelevant. If not there is every reason for concern right now. Essendon is a big test for us. Will Roos stick with his tried and true formula for suffocating weaker oppositions or will he use it as a chance to blow a weak opposition out of the water. I reckon the former, time will tell...

Because our performance is poor. Just because things change later in the season doesn't mean you want to be a team that starts low and has to get a run on just to finish in the finals. Wouldn't you prefer a more generally even season setting you up for a good shot at the top 4.

The way we are playing just terrible. It's losing games and it's boring to watch.

The Swans can't possibly win under your rules.
On one hand if they are a form side after 6 weeks say with 6 wins it doesn't mean anything but if they are struggling early as they have in the past(and have stormed home previously under Roos) then you want them to have won more games evenly.
I don't care how they get to the finals I just want them to make it and then make something of the opportunity.

If we were 6 wins after 6 games with good form, we'd be saying this is great, but let's keep a lid on it as there is a long way to go.

I want them to win a flag. The best way to win a flag is to be in the top 2 and peak at finals time. Starting miles behind and making a mad dash to make finals is usually not the best way to do it.

You mean like all those other times...
