This is what you have to do to reserect this season, and possibly make something of this gift draw we received:
- Play Goodes in the ruck. The rules have changed to protect him, and he doubles as an awesome rover. Him and Doyle/Jolly/Ball.
- Play our backline spine as LRT (CHB), Schuable (FB), and keep them there.
Make Leo Barry and Kennelly play as half backs. If the opposition tries to drag them back to the goal square put Vogels/Dempster on them. In other words risk some young defenders, to free up our run from half back.
- Make Barry Hall stay around CHF. Playing that area between CHF/FF.
- Play Ball/Doyle at FF (if dry). MOL if wet. Or both is overcast.
- Drop Couch.
- Use Kirk as the only tagger.
- Turn Ablett into an attacking midfielder.
- Have N.Davis spend time in the midfield, as an OUTSIDE Receiver.
- Instruct Schneider to just play front and square of Hall.
- Bomb it long from the kickin to LRT/Schuable/Goodes. And get adequate rovers around the fall.
It may work, it may fail, but in the end it will make us a better team.
