The one time I was on level 6 was probably the worst of the lot. It feels quite devoid of atmosphere up there and that was during the prelim final.

Thanks for the feedback, I think I'm going to try the 300 seats at the end of the northern side. I'll come down and say hello to JF and co.

I sit on the plastic seats a close to the bar as I can get.

      Cheers

I think you've got it the wrong way round JF. They bult the northern stand because they wanted the cricket (so their members and SCG members could sit in a stand behind the northern wicket. No southern stand because the members want the sun behind them.

Which leads me to another point. We Swans members are all on the eastern side because StadeOz kept the shaded western side for themselves. Not really an issue for night games (and it does make for better TV crowd appearance) but we are getting a day game out there this year (R20) so most of us will be in the sun. The O'Reilly and eastern concourse folks will feel at home but I prefer to have the sun behind me.

If so, I'll be there. And so will visitors from Perth Swans 63 and Port1978. (Nolie, you as well?) I hope several of you get to meet them some time on Saturday. Perth is a bloody long way to come from just to support your team.

If that is in the members reserve then i shall be there.

Me personally did not approach the Swans for a change of seating although it did cross my mind, I guess I never got around to it.

However, I know several people who sit near me in the O'Reilly requested a change of seat for the past couple of years and it finally looks like it all paid off!

We got a letter at the end of last year offering us to change to Level 1 on the side and we jumped at the chance!

Can someone give me a run-down of the members reserve? in the membership book it has the members reserve as 1/2 of block 119 to 126. Apparaently it is "first come, first served" as far as seating goes. Is that area any good? Should I buy an allocated seat?
I like to be a bit further around the grouns - i.e half forward flank, wing ( I know thw wing area will be more expensive, reserved areas).
A comment on the members reservew would be helpful.

That area is the north-western corner from the 50m mark (126) to behind the goal (119) and from the fence to the back of level 1. Towards 126 is also elevated slightly due the retractable seating area. The swans bench is a little further to the wing (128?)

I think you'll be happy there Nolie.

It's not bad but the downside is the obscured view of the closest wing because of the retractable wing stands.
