I think Stewies personal life is his priority(and who could blame him).If things remain as they are I don't think we have much choice than relieve him of his captaincy duties( if that's what the club feels would be correct thing to do both for Stewie and the Swans). We do need a Captain who is available 24/7 and I feel he must be a Sydneysider.Stewie would probably play better footy if he didn't have so many commitments.

Thats what I keep saying about Roos, he is telling the media what they want/need to hear.

And too be honest he does say he "hasn't thought too clearly through it", so he has thought about it (in a cloudy haze).

I didn't want to add weight to the Swans woes with this poll (Or Stewies) - I just want to highlight the need for Stewie to stand up to his responsibilities. I had no prior knowledge to his personnel needs or requirements to move back to Melbourne.

Bottom line I hope that he can manage his home life - Family life comes above Footy. Do what you need to do to satisfy family needs.

Footy may be life on the weekend but there is life after footy!

I think this all started with the issue of satisfaction of needs.

              Hey - me too!

Excellent opportunity for him to hand over the captaincy and then step down in a few weeks.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Me too - but I don't know how to link to things I had already said. Biggest benefit is that if he is not captain and his form does not justify a place in the team he can easily be dropped with no loss of face to anyone.

From Captain to magoos and no loss of face? Gee Anne, is there any Swans player you don't want to kick in the face?

Many people would admit Maxfield's form of late has been so bad that it has actually affected the whole team's performance. Now there is a "reason/excuse" for it I think being dropped would not be a disgrace. People would just say his mind is elsewhere and he needs time and lack of pressure to sort himself out.Surely the team is as important as one individual.

So you'd make him Captain again if he came back?
