I think the Swans can beat Essendon this week

That's right I realy do think the Swans can beat Essendon this week and I want them to.
So good luck to Roosy, Colless and all the support staff as well as the players for this comming weekend.

It's a very important game indeed. The loser will have a terrible time of it that is for sure.

Not at all, for the sake of the players and the team in general, I just think too many people here are not being positive enough at the moment and I truly believe that we can beat Essendon at the right now.

God help us if we can not !!!

On a side note it will be interesting to see the 2 Mcveighs together (should they both play), imagine if they played on each other!

He just got his supposition and his suppository confused. After all, both relate to the same area.

I agree with FH - there, I've said it. And since we're coming up from Melbourne to watch it, I hope it's a big win.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I'd like to echo those thoughts.... but my confidence in the boys isnt exactly top notch right now. We definately have to kick more than 7 or 8 goals and kick straight!

We have to win Destructive. We have to give it to Norris Lurker, don't we?

That fat bastard will be unbearable on Saturday night! Peter Hatley will be near me to give me support as well as Swansinger, so hopefully it wont be as bad.

I have to agree the Swans should win this one, with all the criticism of the Club, Roos, the gameplan etc they should be fired up.

I think some quick points which could make a difference have come out over the last few weeks,
Goodes has to play on the ball,
O'keefe needs to play within the 50m
Davis in the midfield for his delivery to our forwards
Kirk is a good attacking midfielder we have enough taggers
Dempster has slotted well into the backline
Schauble has returned and this may free up C Bolton or Tadgh for other roles.

If we can get up this week and Ball and Jolly return for the game against Power we could find ourselves right back on track.

                          Funnier things have happened.

                          Cheers

                          Waz

                            I've lived in Essendon

Tullamarine is not close enough to Essendon for that to work. I've lived in Essendon, so let me give you some more accurate info.
                            • Essendon is one of those suburbs with distinctive period homes. The one I lived in for 14 months was a typical Essendon home - solid brick, stained glass windows, slate roof. Such homes tend to attract yuppies like moths.
                            • Essendon's darkest secret is that the suburb is on the Broadmeadows train line. To put it politely, Broadmeadows is one of those suburbs with a lot of housing commission tenants.
                            • Essendon has an airport for light aircraft (but it's not Tullamarine!) where the aircraft land on houses every now and again (two accidents in the last 20 years). Perhaps the pilots are doing unscheduled renovations?
                            • Essendon is right next to Moonee Ponds, made famous by Dame Edna.
                            • The Windy Hill ground is on a run-down street that could do with roadworks.
                            • The somewhat decrepit state of the Windy Hill ground appears to be lowering the real estate values of the surrounding homes.
                            • Parts of Essendon are in the Federal electorate once held by Bob Hawke (Wills).
