Well, there are at least three players there that would fit right into the Red and White. Surely the Saints can't hang on to all of them.
What exactly happens with out of contract players? Are they "Free Agents" or do their current clubs have some kind of hold on them? -
Good question. Sydney needs to get out its cheque book and wave some big cheques at some quality players - IMO a full back, a midfielder and a ruck man come forward (surely Ball's last season and they should get rid of fragile Doyle).Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment

Dal Santo
Last years trade period shows how tough dealing with other clubs can be - We had to give a First round pick for Melbourne's back up Ruckman (no disrespect to Jolly).
As much as I hate it, sometimes you have to say OK you won't trade in a reasonable fashion then I'll offer your stars what they are really worth - thereby either getting the star or placing financial constraints on teams such as St Kilda who have to increase their original offers to players such as Dal Santo. This may lead to a secondary player (who would still fit into our team a la B2) becoming available.Comment

Have been told that Koschitzke will be the most likely to leave. Problem is most of those guys would prefer to stay in Melbourne and Collingwood and Essendon also have the cash and will likely finish down near the bottom, hence the PSD would allow them to snare out of contract stars.LIFE GOES ONComment

Throw whatever the hell the kid wants at him!! I dont care what it costs. He is an absolute star and is/will be better than anyone on our current list, except possibly Hall. Whether it costs us Jude Bolton, Ryan O'Keefe and Schneider all together I couldnt care less, this IS the superstar we have been looking for. Judd is out of the question, there arent many others that you can really suggest that may leave a club soon. I couldnt care less what it takes... GET NICK DEL SANTO TO SYDNEY!!!- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!Comment

Don't think he'll seriously leave, and neither do either of Essendon or Collingwood IMHO. Its a classic trick, if you can push their value up.. do, put huge offers in to them that place pressure on the team to increase their offer. Sheeds has been working on this one in the media for a while, offering prase for Del Santo at every opportunity - comparing him to champions of the past... IMO a sure sign that we aren't seriously chasing him. We're hoping a few youngsters will slip through the saints net that we'll pick up cheaply for some overrated essendon hack.Time to make EFC a meritocracy, not a mediocracyComment
