    Watson calls on Maxfield to stand down as Swans captain

    This season is shaping up as quite bizarre. Stuey's move to Melbourne almost seems normal on the back of everything else.

    Whatever you think about Roos though, he deserves credit for saying this...

    "Roos was furious at critics of the decision to allow Maxfield to commute, adding that the skipper "should put his kids that far ahead of the Sydney Swans footy club it's not funny".

    "My priority is unashamedly to my wife and kids and I would throw this job away in a heartbeat if it had any effect on my family life and my kids, and I think Stuart is exactly the same," Roos said"

    Good to see this bloke has a sense of perspective. Maybe he has been talking with Danny Frawley.
    He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

      I thought it was interesting that "But the way our leadership group is, it is spread over the eight or nine people in the group."

      So nearly half the team is in the leadership group...?!
      Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

          But some of them are in the "near permanently injured non-playing group" - Shaubs, Ball.

              They lead the rehab guys, keep them out of KFC etc.

                  Maybe there is a leadership group within the leadership group. How about the non-leadership group forms its own non leadership leadership group with an inner core of non-leading leaders.

                      I think the players would have to elect a leadership group to take the responsibility for electing the captain. Maxfield can be the captain of the leadership group of all interstate players.

                          How would one go about acquiring membership to this "group"? Sounds interesting and easy to access... might go for that instead of swans membership next year
