    If you were Leigh...

I was just thinking, how do we compare with the lists of other clubs. So what better place to start than with the Brisbane Lions.

If you were Leigh Matthews, which Swans players (if any) would you actually want to have lining up (in a match 22, not just on your list) for you?

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I couldn't see him being too thrilled about playing much of our list at all (it'd be like asking Michelangelo to use @@@@ for clay). He is the one coach who would sweep the broom very liberally, without any fear of supporter/sponsor/player revolt.

Hall!! Imagine how good he would be with the Lions midfield delivering to him.

        That's about it really.

God this is such a pathetic way of consolling ourselves. We don't have a team like the lions, we probabley never will and dreaming about our best player somehow being magicaly transported into a ggod team is not going to help. We need blood.

I wasn't talking about our best player going, it's just a matter of comparing us with the best team in the comp, and how many of our players would actually get a run in that team. It's just a reality check, to put things in perspective for those who may have been expecting big things, particularly after the win over Carlton.

I honestly think that if brisbane had their pick of our players, they would probabley run Goods off the bench, barry would be an emergancey, and scneider and Mcveigh would be lucky to make the rookie list and the rest of them could go to hell.

Lets turn the tables on this one. Besides Voss (Who everyone would take anyway) which Lions player would you take off their hands at season end to take the pressure off their salary cap????

                Lappin is my pick
                Once was, now elsewhere

On his performance on Thursday night - Brennan!!! That kid looks like an absolute superstar in the making. Could play forward or back, is from the NT, so homesickness is not an option. And he has at least 10 years ahead of him!

Well, to me that is an unreasonable question.

We have lots of talented players who are being held back by poor delivery and poor pley.
I reckon Leigh would happily slot 9 players or so into his side

I'd take Simon Black - just oozes class and is young to boot.

                          Goodes- Williams - Hall.
And when at the top of their game - O'Loughlin and Ball.

And Craig Bolton. Oh , no , hang on - Leigh got rid of him , didn't he?

Goodes ,Hall, a fit o'loughlin maybe Saddington as he could play as a floater across half back instead of key position.
