    Swans won't rush captaincy decision

    ABC.com.au
Sydney Swans coach Paul Roos has hinted that a permanent captaincy replacement for Stuart Maxfield may not be made until next year.

If they are going to wait that long then they owe it to Kirky to get rid of the "acting" qualifier for the rest of the season so that his name gets recorded in the list of captains.

He deserves more than just a footnote.

That same article does go on to say that "a long-term appointment will be made next week" but that appointment might be a "for the remainder of the season" one to leave it open for a new appointment next year without having to sack anyone.

On TFS last night Eddie semed pretty sure that he would be confirmed next week and Brett didn't deny it (not that he was given much chance).

Waiting till next year indicates (to me) that Hall or Goodes are being looked at.

Leaving it open is probably to inspire the leadership team to work hard and dream of the captaincy. Instead is says "Hey, Kirky! Here's the captaincy for a tease but you aren't good enough to have any sort of guarantee."

The last thing BGBH needs is more anger management. He needs to let it all out and crash a few packs.

Set up camp in the park on Driver Ave. Look to the rooftops of the SCG.

Red smoke means 'No new Captain'. White smoke: "A new Captain has been appointed"!

Hallelujah!! (Brett I, or Barry II?)
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

And Sydney has lots of colourful racing identities that can pick them up at the airport.

No rush to appoint a captain!!!??? Strewth talk about indecision.

I wish they were in a rush to win a game.

And I thought Sydney led the hurly burly of busyness and the need to get things done yesterday. Not so it's footy team by the looks of it.

ROK, how many ways are there to spell rabble?

just becareful you don't end up being contaminated by asbestos.

Seriously - There have been found traces of such in the southern car park, which made headaches for this weekends Union and Grinspoon concert.

No idea how it went, but the radio was suggesting people not drive to avoid not being able to parking southern end and only having the northern end available.

Brett Kirk should be named as skipper. He is the right man for the job, and if they dont whatever he does on the field will be questioned and scrutinised as whether it will make a good captain. They may be waiting for Goodes to prove himself as a consistent player, as he is a well spoken, public identity. The ebst option is Kirky ASAP.
                            - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!
