I'm just wondering what is the go with the free travel for members going to Homebush tomorrow? Do we use our membership cards as our train ticket to get through the station gates, or do we just show the membership to the counter to get our train tickets?

I was asking this very same question myself.
Those grey City Rail ticket gestapo guys are swarming around the gates at Olympic Park station in evil hordes, so some clarification from either Cityrail or the club would have been nice.
i can only assume that you will have to show your membership to the guy at your local station to get your ticket on the trains. However, if there isn't anyone there.....
Another idea from the club that whilst good in theory has been thought out and EXPLAINED TO MEMBERS rather badly logically-speaking. If people cop fines, I hope they have their phones off the hook come Monday morning.
There is nobody to ask now about this issue either, is there?
JF
PS:- Anyone know if they will be running direct trains tomorrow. Or whether we will have to do the Lidcombe shuffle again? Anyone want to meet up at Central at 4pm and go in together as a group?"Never ever ever state that Sydney is gone. They are like cockroaches in the aftermath of a nuclear war"

My guess is there will be a direct service - 40,000 plus at one time is probably too many to handle at Lidcome.Comment

They went underground, man.Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.Comment

Bonbon, I think you need to get out a bit more. There are trains in Melbourne that go underground too.
I reckon the best train system in the country is in Perth. They are all brand new and are spotlessly clean.I was even told NOT to eat on one. They race the cars over the bridge heading towards Burswood Station which is pretty cool.
even had a Friday night kick to kick with a few local hoons IN A TRAIN CARRIAGE!

The Swans matchday transport information sheet states:
"Simply show your membership card or ticket and you pay nothing when boarding your train! CityRail will operate some direct services from Central to Olympic Park on the day of the match. CityRail also operates the Olympic Park Sprint, a shuttle service between Lidcombe and Olympic Park between 6.05am and midnight....."Bring it on!Comment
