    Support your team!

Average crowd last night, it was 12th/13th and the standard expected not high but thats the time the team needs you most...

and when you're at the game, YELL YOUR HEART OUT. For a lot of the game the red capped swans supporters on the right hand side bay from me ( I was 16 rows back directly behind the goals essendon supporters side) were silent and still. Don't know about other areas but even with just over 30 000 there should have been more home noise.

Get out there, and get behind your side. in the final quarter you managed to give your side a lift imagine what they could have done if you'd cheered just as loud (if not louder) when you were trailing!

I am not sure that the 50 or so regular posters on here from Sydney could make a difference in a crowd of 30K.

I did the best I could up the northern end, without the help of a drum. Got the "!! !!! !!!! SYDNEY" one going with great success. Heaps of people up the back were joining in. The "Syyyyyydney' chant in the last quarter was deafening.

The Swans fans down the other end would not have been regulars i'd assume. That end is always known as the away end.

I think a lot of the people down there would have bought the "4-match" pass, hence all the new caps (as last night would have been their first chance to pick up their members cap.

Most of the full members/season ticket holders would have been on the wings, and indeed were doing a bit more barracking than I'm used to for our home games

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Have just got back from the West Coast v Hawthorn game as my daughter bought me a ticket for Mother's Day( so I got to see David Wirrpunda for a half). One condition was that I had to wear her West Coast scarf. The seat was right in amongst the Hawthorn Cheer squad. I don't think she really loves me.

But I must say the place was rocking. They had drums cymbals whistles and they kept cheering no matter what.

It was a great day, especially as the Eagles won and the members of my dream team played well.

I wish the Swans could come to York Park!!!!

I was sitting at the fence right next to where the swans come in and out so i got in on all the action! LOL
Anyway... Dont you worry i was screaming loud enough, people thought i was a crazy woman but then in that 3rd quarter the swans really needed to be screamed at!

              P.S ...
I feel so sorry for poor Nick (Davis), as i've already said i sat next to where all the swans come in and out and as Nick was going in he was FURIOUS!
He was hitting the fence and swearing and well he was bloody pissed!
But then who could blame him he's probably out for 5-6 weeks!http://www.redandwhiteonline.com/for...cons/icon9.gif

Was there anything said of Davis bringing in the injury into the match? During the warm up i spotted the strapping and i noticed he wasn't really putting the throttle down when running nor kicking...

They said strain on MMM radio - anything further to this?

Hawthorn's new Supporters Club are excellent, aren't they? not only incredibly passionate, but very colourful in their yellow shirts. with us here in sydney basically Benny and I start the chants. At hawthorn at lerast 15 are up when the chants are started.

I'd go to Tassie in an instant. Never been, and it is somewhere new to travel to. But alas for you the Swans would draw too well against both St Kilda and Hawthorn to justify moving one of these games to Tassie.

You are basically guaranteed match in Tassie involving Freo and West Coast.
