He spent most of his time on the ground. His direct opponent was Thurstan. That is why we dont see him very much. His teammates are gaining confident about him too. They seem much more willing to accomodate him within their style of plays.

Let's be realistic though - if you can't play okay as loose man in defence you can't play AFL football at all. It is the easiest spot to play.

Come on, surely you've got to give credit where its due. LRT has been copping a lot of flack from most people on RWO over the last few weeks, but surely today's effort was a big improvement on his other games this year.

As I stated in another thread a few days ago, pessimists love calling themselves 'realists'.

I said in the other thread that he was okay. But if he's playing loose across half back, then he should be okay. Anyone can play that position - even Cloke!! Still, maybe it's the best way to teach him how to play and read the ball.

Well, it certainly is more of the usual path taken by young defenders instead of being chucked striaght into CHB. Only Rivers comes to mind as someone who has been able to come straight into afl as CHB.

Can somebodu explain to me what the best match for LRT would look like?
Would that mean having 1 more possesion from the previous game would result in a best game so far? Oh, please!!!

So a defender's game is purely rated on the number of stats to his name. Oh, please!!!

Oh, he was a defender? Sorry, I thoguht he was a high flying all winning Swans attacker. Give me a break. I knew what he was doing and I'm still not impressed.

Surely you can see that today was an improvement?

I am hyper-sensitive to LRT's mistakes because I am looking and waiting for them. I only saw the second half and (to be objective) he wasn't awful. Plus he successfully marked the ball more than once which is all I have asked of him.
