    Interesting Stat

Three teams we have beaten currently sit 13th, 14th and 15th on the ladder.

    Pretty unflattering.

To be pedantic, is that a stat?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

conversely and unstatistically, the teams we have lost to sit 1, 2, 5 and about 7/8 (Adelaide)...so at least we have been beaten by in form sides

So that means we will be fighting for a spot in the bottom 4.

          Most likely

This weekend will be a good test against Port Adelaide, after they smashed the Kangaroos pretenders.

It would have been a lot worse had we lost to them!

And I wonder whether we would beat the Hawks if we played them now? They seemed to have improved a lot since round 1.

yeh, but the Crows & Roos aren't playing as well as when we met them. You take yr opposition as they come.

Not an unreasonable thought given our form...

                      Some REAL stats.

Some of our players are stats leaders.

Barry Hall has kicked 17 behinds, more than any other player in the competition. (Second is Richo with 16.) Once he starts kicking a little straighter he'll be leading the goalkicking because he's only 4 goals behind the leader. He's due for a game whre he kicks 6 goals or more.

Brett Kirk has 44 tackles which is more than anyone else in the competition. There's plenty of daylight between him and second place, which is held by Aker with 33. Jude Bolton is equal 19th with 25 tackles.

Jude and Kirky's efforts with the tackling are not going unrewarded. Both players have been awarded 15 free kicks, more than any other player in the competition.

Bazza has 6 frees for and 11 against. At least there's 8 players with more frees against with Primus of Port being the stat leader here with 16 frees against. (He has got 13 frees himself, too.)

Could be a possible chance for the Coleman. I can't really see a small forward like Williams winning it.

The Captain has dominated the tackle stats for the past 2 seasons. Sensational effort.

I'd like to see a revised list without ruckmen, because they invariably give away more frees than other players.

Another interesting stat is that we're given away the most frees (137) but we're also 2nd in free kicks awarded (137 as well).
