Ta for the link. Goodness me! I'd love to have been a fly on the wall - although Kirk does mention that he got on very well with Hird. Perhaps this is what he means?

I seem to remember reading an article on him at some stage back talking about how he followed Nathan Buckley around a bar for an entire night while on the international series just to prove he could tag him off-field as well as he could on-field.
Hahaha sense of humour. I like it.
Mind you i like anything where nathan buckley is written off...

He gets called a hippie all the time, and every interview i've read with him (i have a friend who is rather obsessed with him) he's really down to earth and quite funny as well. Would love to hear more stories like the one about Buckley.
I hope his next target is Akermanis - who needs a labotomy. Or has had one, but needs a better one. Or should just go and crawl into a hole somewhere with a bucket of bleach.
