    Should Spriggs be dropped?

IMO, he's a liability and his dreadful disposals are potentially more damaging than some of the oppositions players.

Yes. He's a liability who always seems to give the ball to the other team.

Yes. Actually, go one step further and delist the pretty boy as he'll never improve.

No. He's good at getting the ball and his disposal will improve with his confidence.

I think that's a bit extreme, he's done a couple of good things, but I think he's probably due a run in the reserves this week as better players will be coming back in

In the midfield we have other options, so Spriggs should be sent to Canberra.
Even in the ACT it should be obvious if his kicking improves. If not, he should be delisted at years end.

I think his skills are no worse than the majority of players in the side, so I would keep him and hope that maybe they will improve.

This one's easier than LRT. Experienced enuff to know better & there must be a penalty for repeated turnovers. Back to ressies til he learns how to use the ball.

If we are dropping a player to the ressies, shouldn't we drop the player that contributes least to the team?

I may be wrong, but aren't all draftees given a 2 year contract as a minimum? So Spriggs will be here next year even if he doesn't improve?

                Why stop at one?

Like comparing Laurel v Hardy. But I think LRT has more chance of responding to some senior time than Spriggs.

Yeah, why not send him back to the reserves, he'll get great match practice, 40 possessions and 8 goals like McVeigh!!!!
With a reserves comp like that player development is impossible!!!
Perhaps that's something Lord Demetriou and his cohorts could focus their attention on![FONT=arial]Yeah, why not send him back to the reserves, he'll get great match practice, 40 possessions and 8 goals like McVeigh!!!!

He really was amazingly terrible on Sat night. I actually lauf=ghed out loud on a few occasions.

Impossible to even contemplate what they were expecting when they drafted him. When people said "poor disposal" I thought they meant like Mathews etc...but this is something astounding

He was recruited for depth. To cover us during a season. If he remains a fringe player, coming in and out of the reserves, then he should remain.
The risk is he will retain his place in front of a younger guy.

Another fine example of how not to draft!!! We'll never learn!
Getting heaps out of Heath James again. I'm sorry bout his run of luck, but surely common sense must prevail, he's no good! Well not now anyway, it's just a waste of a player on our list, something of which we have more than most clubs.

Not much good getting your hands on the ball all the time if you can't hit a target.
The way we play needs good disposal into the forward line. We wont get it from him at this stage.
I don't want to write him off totally but he needs to work on his skills. Against the port adelaide midfield is not the place to do that. Send him to Canberra
