    Who should play on Tredrea?

Goodes was outpointed last time. Schauble was fantastic in the qualifying final but may still be underdone.

Our best defensive backman should start on their best forward, so it's Schauble for mine.

If Schaubs is so underdone that he can't play on Tredders, he shouldn't be selected in the first place.

Schauble's a bit slow, Leo's a bit small (and a combination of Tredrea's size and mobility would be too much for him, I think), LRT is not experienced enough.

I'd start with Bolton - mobile, a bit short but deceptively strong. There's a chance he'll get towelled up but I'd start him there and then rotate the rest - including Goodes - in increasing levels of desperation.

Of course, if the midfield does its job it won't matter who's playing on Tredrea.

            Precisely.
Start with Leo, then Bolton, Schauble, Goodes, etc

LRT. Tredrea will be so confused with all the running around in circles, he will be shellshocked.

C Bolton is match fit and one of our best defenders - gets my vote.

I think Tredrea is one of the toughest matchups in the competition - he's a good mark, a quick lead and excellent off the ground. My preference would be Barry as I think he has the speed to match Tredrea and C Bolton as the second option. I'd prefer to see Schauble on Lade or another tall.

Yeah, Leo was amazing at times on Lloyd. He seemed to work him under the footy or out of a contest pretty well. I think the best option would be Leo, but have Saddington playing infont by about 15m to cut off any solid leads and make him play from the goal square.

Not to mention he intercepted quite a few passes to Lloyd and turned them into an attacking move.

i reckon tredrea is a good old-fashioned dummy-spitter. for this reason i reckon putting barry on him because if he gets on top tredders will lose it in frustration and be gone all day. conservative thought would go to schauble, but even if he gets the points early, i reckon tredrea would be more confident in working his way into the game.

you have to be good on the ground as well to beat tredrea.

i did like whoever's idea it was to try bevan out as a punt, but it's a big punt in what i think is going to be a very close and tough match. certainly no shoot-out.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Schauble if Tredrea plays close to goals, C.Bolton if Tredrea plays as a true CHF (it is at the SCG though).
I wouldn't mind LRT (I know, I know) spending 5 minutes a quarter running with Tredrea, as long as Tredrea is away from goals, just for the experience- but I'd rather he played on a 3rd tall forward and spent most of the game in the one spot(assuming he is playing).
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Its got to be Barry, he's easily our best defender, Tredrea certainly has a size advantage but so did Gehrig, Lloyd, Neitz etc and he did a good job on them. He'll likely have to lead up the ground to get his hands on the ball which is where we want him to go, away from goal.
Schauble should stay on Lade or another tall they send forward.
