I think that is a bit harsh.
McV popped up like a jack rabbit, while Tadgh, was still sliding to a halt, after trying to spoil him.

I agree with NMW on this one. McVeigh had to dive to take the mark so there was no way that it could have been spoiled from behind and Tadhg didn't actually appear to touch him so it's not like he was going to cause McVeigh to drop it. He should have stayed on his feet.

I thought it was a bad decision that cost a goal. Tadhg did that a few times (the intercepted hand pass that resulted in a Lucas goal being the most memorable). Fortunately he did some good things too that probably resulted in goals to us.

I agree he could of done it better, but atleast he was there with his opponent, unlike the gift goal that Lucas got when LRT was no where to be seen.

You're right he wasn't on him, he wasn't anywhere.

LRT should have known Kennelly would give the ball to an Essendon player. He really has no football smarts that bloke.

LOL i was just about to say. That goal was totally Kennelly's fault not LRT!

Congratulations on the very first time I have seen Nigel Molesworth (was it Nigel?) on a footy internet forum. Blown away.

On Bevan - he saved us two points with his very last spoil of the night....when the ball came in to Essendon's forward line (long, direct, ahem), he put on a fantastic legal spoil and created the stoppage. had've Lloyd (I think it was) marked it, we'd've had a tie.

Very untidy - better play would have been to keep his feet (how many times have we heard that) or at least grab onto McVeigh as he slides past/into him.

This would have meant McVeigh would have had to go back on his mark and kick it forward to a contest rather than be able to run free and easily find Lloyd leading.

Yep, that was the other Tadhg mistake that I mentioned. Take that one off LRT's total and he only conceded one - excellent effort

Ah yes, he ran back and helped Leo by basically clashing into Lloyd. Great stuff.
