    Training 11/05/05

A few little tidbits for folks.

*Hall, O'Loughlin, Barry, Williams, Nicks, Ball, Fosdike, James, Goodes made up for most of the takin' it easy training group.
*Of those Hall, O'Loughlin, Barry, Williams (3) and Ball (4) did laps.
*That group whittled down to Hall, Barry and O'Loughlin for additional running/semi sprints.
*NOG did not seem to train at all and did not join the takin' it easy group.
*Ericksen trained with the main group then spent the rest of his time doing fairly intense ruck training.
*Nick Davis was in attendance. Before folks ask- he doesn't look to have put any weight on since Saturday.
*Ben Fixter was doing (lots) of lap work.
    *Main group did sprints then backman -> 3 player midfield -> leading forward. Of these (from what I saw);
**BEST midfielders kicking I50 to leading forward: McVeigh, Willoughby, Moore (Schneider honourable mention)
**WORST 3 midfielders kicking I50 to leading forward: Spriggs, Buchanan.
**BEST leading forward: LRT (I know!)
**WORST leading forward: ROK (I know!)
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

    Who's the third?

    Take that out.
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

To be honest I wrote 3 then thought about it and only 2 stood out. I wasn't enough of a perfectionist to double check my post!

      Take that out.

      Were you at training too?

Did he mention that he's thinking about taking up hockey?

Well you know that it is very similar to football... both have balls and... people and... are games and... um... er...

A bit sore to be honest. Gibbsy and Roosy had a chat, I have a funny feeling they are going to leave me out of the game against Port this weekend. Can't risk an injury to Davis mk 2 after the Davis mk 1 incident last week.

Just between us, I am livid about not being included in the captaincy rotaion.

I walked past the door while the leadership group were meeting. I don't know if it was you they were talking about but I did hear the phrase 'recreational drugs' as I passed.

                    Was Stella at the logies???

Good wrap on the training dudes, Stella. No mention of Jolly, I imagine he will be pumped to get back on the field? (Knees down of course)

Yep. Nicksy and I swindled some invites, we were trying to pick up soapy starlets. Neither of us had any luck, but we did run into Lawrie Angwin so we went down to Russell Street and one thing lead to another... but of course Nicksy got away with it and I'm the one losing what I deserve (captaincy rotation, maybe even my place in the 22 for this weekend) over it.

Jolly appeared uber-pumped. Lots of shouting and bum slapping. He and Kirky seemed to be the ones going hardest at training (apart from the fringe players out to impress).

That's a disappointment as Monty is my favourite. I've still got high hopes for him, though. He does put it lace out occasionally. Can he go from 1 in 5 to 4 in 5?

                        Probably not, I guess
