That was a bad day, August 7. My Grandpa died in the early hours of that morning.

I now believe it. There was a Port supporter sitting just down from myself and Norris Lurker and he was pure trailer park trash.

I think that Richmond and Port definately have the most 'interesting' supporters to put it nicely!!

I love listening to the "Hawforn" chant, as their cheersquad just cannot pronounce "Hawthorn" properly. When they show a close up of the Hawks cheer squad chanting you can even lip read the HAW...FORN!!

Because the game was as good as over 'cause the slack arse Port players had thrown in the towel half way through the last quarter. Who the hell are you to bag Sydney supporters for leaving just before the siren, especially when your team had obviously given up trying to win well before the end of the last quarter? Your criticism is very misdirected. People have Sydney traffic to get through to get home, unlike driving through the big country town that is Adelaide. Not that I left early. I was savouring every moment of your suffering.

I can bag whoever I want about leaving before the end of the game. That's just something that I'd never do....even if losing pathetically. And it wasn't JUST before the siren it was quite early on in the last quarter. I don't reallky think the traffic's much of an excuse. Don't you people go to the footy so you can support your team? If you're so worried about getting home after the game why not use public transport?

I think thats a bit harsh to be honest. Having been caught in the car park for well over an hour on more occassions than I care to count, I really cant blame some for leaving early. And as for the public transport - it seems that the Illawarra line always has track work on the weekend we play up here - so if you think I'm going to get a bus, train & another bus - you are very sadly mistaken.
It is a free world afterall.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Typical of a Port supporter, rather than critically analyse your own team's disgraceful performance, you turn on the opposing teams supporters. I see that nothing much has changed at Alberton Oval. Actually, no, that's not true. Something has changed at Alberton Oval. Your team now sucks so much, it doesnt even try. So much for "never stop stop stop, til we're top top top". Ha ha ha, what a joke.

Now dont you have a Port supporters' forum you can go sulk on?

Hmm, turn on opposing team's supporters.......actually, I think you'll find I was just being critical of the ones who left early. The majority of Sydney fans were great as I've said before, particularly the cheersquad. As for talking about my own team's performance (which was bloody crap), I thought this was meant to be a thread about Sydney fans....that is what is says in the thread title anyway.

Okay guys and ladies the reason for this thread was as a country Swans member who does not get to Sydney often I was thrilled to see the crowd getting right into the spirit of the match and behind their team so I thought a congratulatory thread was in order, it was not meant to turn into a scragging match between rival supporters.

However Cruiser and Port1978 have both made interesting points now lets all be nice and continue.
                              cheers Ian
