    Swans are drug-free, claims Schauble
Sydney defender Andrew Schauble has refuted claims that recreational drug use is rife in the AFL, stating he was "very confident" that was not the case and that such practices were not happening at the Swans

While Swans doctor Nathan Gibbs last week revealed that caffeine tablets are available to "anyone that wants them", Schauble said he did not take them.
So if he did - he'd possibly move at the same speed of everyone else? And be 2 steps ahead of the play instead of 1?

We need more people like Shaubs - look at how much he does for others, now that is what I call a true leader (well in life anyway - perhaps not footy) does that make sense?
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Yep, perfect sense. He's probably the furthest you can get from the typical football type when he's off the field. He is the kind of role model you would want for your kids outside of the sport.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I can't believe he put his @@@@ on the block about his team-mates' drug use. He can't possibly know what they all do in their spare time. He's just setting himself up.

I think he'd have fair idea of what's going on & prob not going to be hung out to dry if it turns out a cheeky rookie is having a sly joint on the side.

Maybe I'm ingenuous, but the Swans look too squeaky clean for "rife" drug use which is in fact the allegation.

I hope this doesn't sound too naive, but I reckon the "recreational" drub use would be more prevalent in tradition AFL states, mostly Melbourne.

I think it's a part of the "rock star" syndrome that we don't experience as much here. There are many many more hanger-on-erers down there that inproperly influence the younger guys.

I mean look at the hair cuts on some of those young blokes...they have to be on drugs just to wear those things in public.

The same can be said about David Spriggs and his attire at the after match in Canberra this year.

Hanger-on-erers? Are you on drubs? I have never seen such an inproper use of hyphenation.

Is a drub a laboratory version of a shrub?

Unfortunately no, not enough parasites to provide me with any decent inexpensive "drubs".

BTW, I actually though LRT was the worst hyphenation.

I agree with your comments here Moo. There's no way he could know what they all get up to and I think it's a naive comment to make.
