Just wish he would stop holding on. He has done this consistently since coming back.

But, can't complain to much, as he his our most accurate kicker at the moment.

Last year it ook him around 10-12 games before he started notching up 4(kangaroos) and 5 (Melbourne) goals so for him to kick 5 in his 6th game is promising. he been improving week by week and if he can average around 3 a week then he'll be very handy. hawthorn's Williams is just a great example of how easy it can be to consistently kick goals by doing the basics from the goalsquare. If Micky can play this role and we start to kick straight then we really could be an attcking force

Isn't that kid on fire. Right now he and Gary Jnr are the most inspirational\thrilling players in AFL.

I am heading South next weekend and will take in the Hawks Pies game if only to see Shotgun Whispers Williams rip apart the Collingwood defence.

As for Mick, his AFL career is at a crossroads and we should be recruiting accordingly. I have my doubts as to whether he could do another pre-season let alone a season at the highest level.

He's great and he kicks goals but as the injuries mount, he'll be more and more one dimensional and we'll get hammered when it counts by better prepared defenses.

Still love ya Mick, but facing horrible footy truths is what an honest team needs to do.

I've had knee tendonitis myself and it gradually got better over time until I'd pretty much overcome it so I wouldn't give up on mIck due to his injuries yet. With limited training I'm hopeful he'll be round for at least another 2-3 years yet

That is encouraging...I do want Mick around for a lot longer yet so long as he's fit, though one question.

Did your knee tendonitis get better whilst you played 24 odd games at AFL level?

No but I was playing up to 180mins of soccer in the midfield per weekend and let time do its trick

Tendonitis is something you can play through - it's a pain management issue. It can flare up or disappear from week to week, but it varies from person to person though.

I've had tendonitis in both knees for over ten years and played high level basketball with it for a long time. I know plenty of other basketballers who have done so too.
