    Up to Sixth

Swans move up a spot courtesy of Kangaroos drubbing.

With a very good draw coming up we can hope to consolidate our place in the eight or even top four and improve our percentage.

Coming up in the next five weeks we have:
    St Kilda (TD)
    Carlton (TD)
    Fremantle (SCG)
    Collingwood (TS)
    Richmond (MCG)

    All winnable.

Hawthorn were sitting equal first and undefeated when we played them.

Look like? They are getting flogged now - I thought WE were frustrating!

Next weeks game is pivotal - if we win we can start an assault on the top 4.

This year is so wide open - I reckon Geelong would be the only side that would definitely beat us at the 'G' - all others are beatable in Melb - including WC.

Of course, every game is winnable! But I don't think we should get too far ahead of ourselves. We're notorious for losing games we ought to win - I just hope the players don't get complacent now that we've strung a few wins together.

Once they sit down and watch the tape I reckon any thoughts of complacency should be knocked out of them. A win is a win and it's good to do it while not playing well but they need to get a whole heap better with disposal and decision making if they are to match it with the top four or five teams.

Well, my tipping this week is torn to shreds. Gotta say Clarkson is doing a great job with the Hawks.

Spot on, Liz. They really have no cause to be complacent. We are still making some very basic skill errors, and I think we've been a little lucky in the last couple of weeks that our opponents have underperformed. We have a long way to go before we can consider ourselves geniune contenders.

The Saints will have had 2 extra days. Think they were a bit flat after a short break coming home from Perth but their defence can be exploited and Thomas said that neither Harvey nor Hamill will play this week.

With Schauble coming back in, we have a good shot of holding Reiwoldt and Gehrig.
With Ball coming back in we have a definate advantage in the ruck.
With Williams coming back in, our midfield looks even stronger.

Can our forward line kick enough goals ?
Vogels better keep it up, and O'keefe needs to pull his finger out.

Saints will be tough and smarting after a few losses, but then again three wins in a row does marvels for our confidence. I was looking forward to a big percentage booster in the final quarter today....instead we settled for the four points. I still think we owe the Bulldogs a debt of gratitude for trading away their homegames (I'm not sure when this current contract ends) although I'm sure Rocket will be keen to start getting some home games against us at the Dome.
