Thought our clearances were awesome, I can always sense a victory when we get as many clearances as we did today. Nicksy did an awesome job of the kickouts

Agree. But i think it was more the Dogs tactics than our skill that helped us here. They employed a very poor quality zone, and allowed us to huddle and break, freeing up Goodes or other to break freely.
Compare it to the excellent zones set up by both Adelaide and Melbourne.

I'm afraid I agree, even our huddle was very basic, more a case of drawing all the players in then letting Goodes outrun their ruckman. On the one occasion he was to coverered to be used, it was interreesting to note that the rest of the huddle was intact. There was no starburst of leads presented to the kick out.
They will definitely need to work on leading, whether it's to the kick out or amongst the forwards. For elite athletes who were reported to be fitter than ever at pre-season they're still a lazy (or nervous) bunch.
Don't underestimate the fact that the Dogs ran and ran and chased like wild things for the first half (when their kicking for goal was mostly good and so kick-ins were less of an issue, at least until the last 10 minutes of the 2nd quarter).
I hoped they'd run out of steam after half-time, and they did. When their kicking for goal went to poo in the 3rd and 4th quarters, they just lacked the toe (and occasionally the accountability) to chase our players leading from the kick-in.
