    Jude Bolton :)

I think it's time we had a positive thread regarding Jude Bolton. IMO he is in career best form. Seems a bit bigger built which is helping him in the contests and keeping his balance more when getting out of packs.

His clearences in the 4th quarter against the dogs were really decisive and his disposal has improved alot over the last few weeks.

I think he is playing better than ever before. Keeping his feet seems key - less likely to dive on the ball at all times. Also ha been able to make better decisions and find team mates with his disposals and clearances. Also trying to be a bit more creative, which is creating some opportunities.

its great to see jude in some good form, he has heart and no fear

i was watching the 2003 dvd last night and it would also be great if he could kick some goals like he did that year

and just on 2003, cresswell was a jet and schneider was nailing goals left right and centre, wish he could reproduce some of that form!

We had Jude out at our clubs kick off night earlier on this year, is easily one of the best with the kids.

One thing that struck me, when I shook his hand he had one of the most cut-up calloused generally hacked pair of hands I have ever seen. All that work at the bottom of packs had definately taken it's toll.

Good call. Was leading the league for uncontested possessions last time I looked which is actually good for a player that we know is an inside midfielder. IMO it shows that he is making better decisions around the packs.

I concur! I was a bit sceptical about Jude's ability until this season. I have seen him play good games in the past but not as consistently as he has this year. I remember an earlier game this year, I think it may have been one of the ones we lost, he had an absolute ripper and showed us what he could do out there. OK, so I realise half a season of games doth not a champion player make, but it is promising. Just hope he can maintain his form and keep the consistency. I think Jude would relish the captaincy and he would be a great leader on the park...

Jude will get a lot of votes this year. Might be worth a small each way for Brownlow. Currently paying $251

I agree. I have been very impressed by his performances so far this year, which I think has definately been his best season yet.

Actually I said that the first year I saw him play, he will be captain of the swans oneday!!! Almost there.

Would be leading the B&F and Brownlow tally for us at this stage IMO. Closely followed by Kirk and Barry.

He gets a lot of votes relative to some other players because he is right under the umpires' noses all the time. If you ever watch him under the pack, after the whistle has been blown for a ball up he still fights like crazy to hang onto the ball and be the one to give it back to the umpire. Helps them to remember he is constantly involved in the game and is at forefront of mind when they do their votes, particularly if he has also had a number of possessions, which he usually does.

I think he is having a great season, however if he wins a Brownlow he will be marked as one of the worst players to ever win one.
