Cheer Squad seating at Telstra Dome

You cheer squad card will not get you into the cheer squad seating at Telstra Dome.
You will need to obtain a seat ticket when you arrive at the game.
Cheer Squad Manager Denise will had them out at the rear of the cheer squad seating.
For the St Kilda game we will be seated at the Bourke Street end.

May I ask why this is? Are the AFL trying to crack down on 'freeloaders' sneaking into good ground level seats sitting with club's Cheer squads and not paying for a more expensive reserved seat?

I thought the idea of having Cheer Squads to have a space where people could all sit together and support their side.

Still GA seating for us non Victorian based Swans members Cher?

Are they expecting a sell-out on Saturday?

This is an AFL decision, not a club decision. Their first idea was to mail them out to all Victorian based cheer sqaud members, but Denise told them not to waste the money that she would hand them out.

All Swans members regardless of Victorian or NSW based only get GA seating, it doesn't make any difference what kind of Swans membership you have you don't get a reserved seat in Victoria!

If they were expecting a sell out we would have reserved seats, these aren't reserved seats just cheer squad GA seats. It will be the same for the Carlton game.

Can understand the idea, but if it wasn't for this thread I wouldn't of found out and I think there are a few CS members who won't find out until they try and gain entry to the CS. Do you know how many ticket we have been given as I wouldn't want to see people miss out who should be there.

At least 150 tickets, maybe up to 200. The biggest hassle will be anyone who arrives late.
I'm surprised the club didn't send out a notice to us, an email would have surely got more than half the cheer sqaud.

If I understand correctly we use a GA ticket (or membership) to get into the ground then Denise will provide the ticket that allows us to reach the CS seating area. Is that correct?

Which end is Bourke St? The north or the south? Actaully I don't really need to know - I'll just tag along from the pub.

Excuse my confusion but are you saying that NSW Swans members get a GA ticket free with their membership? I just assumed we had to pay for a ticket and that if we choose to, we can buy a reserve seat ticket?

I think Cheryl means all Swans CHEER SQUAD members, whether they are Sydney or Melbourne based.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

We do have to pay. If you want to pay more for a reserved seat ticket, go right ahead.

The GA seating at Melbourne games is upstairs in the upper tier. Hence the attractivity of sitting around/with the Cheer Squad, as it gets you on the lower tier without shelling out extra coin.

Oops sorry, I worded that badly. I did not mean Cheer Squad members, but any member that had a membership that gets them into Victorian games.

In Victoria you can not buy a reserved seat with your membership like you can in Sydney, you have to buy the seat separately from the ticket agency or sit in General Admittance area.
Cheer Squad have reserved seating area, but not a reserved seat, regardless of what state you joined the cheer squad in, you can get into this area. (after you get in the gate that is)
I have no idea if NSW members can get into Vic games, Vic full members can get GA into three NSW games.
