Roos is in charge of an elite football team, not a development squad and he'd be mad not to bring in Willo and Ball if they're fit.

Schneider probably deserves a call-up after 3 excellent reserves performances in a row.

I am a bit disappointed that Dempster has missed out but he may benefit from full game time in the twos to get some match fitness back.

I am surprised a bit by the ongoing omission of Schaubs unless he's picked up a niggling injury. Our defence looks so more organised and secure when he's there, even if he lacks a little pace. And while Barry did a great job on Gehrig a year ago, Schaubs is a more natural match-up for him. We are in danger of sacrificing Leo's rebound if he's tied up on the gorillas all the time.

I don't have any stats in front of me, but I think Dempster has spent the majority of minutes on the ground? So match fitness is probably not as much of an issue for him than it is for Moore.

        Couldn't agree more!
But I think Roos has burnt the Leo Barry "rebounder" idea since we played St. Kilda in the regular season last year. Leo Barry = FB now. Schauble will probably only come in against Ruck/FF types.

He hasnt had plenty of the ball, he hasnt even had enough of the ball.
            In his 7 games he's averaging 8.9ppg.

            In Ablett's first 7 he had 4.0ppg.

            In Bevan's first 7 he had 11.7 (11.0 after 8 games).

            Buchanan - 6.4ppg.

            Crouch - 10.3ppg.

            Fixter - 4.4ppg.

            Goodes - 10.9ppg.

            Fosdike 11.7ppg.

            Kennelly - 6.4ppg.

            Mathews - 8.4ppg.

            Nicks - 6.9ppg.

            O'Keefe - 6.3ppg.

            LRT - 4.7ppg.

So, Dempster's effort is okay. Not heaps but not unreasonable.
