August 2001. I was there. I almost cried. A rare Kelly turnover resulting in a Bombers goal just about cost us the game.

I'll be there- Aisle 29, Level 1. V. v. exciting. Also taking the v. v. early Virgin Blue flight down Sat. morning. Any fellow RWOers getting the 6:15am from Sydney?

U want to meet up with us at the Colonial Pub Cruiser? Would be good to finally put a face to a name.

u are welcome to come sit with the Cheer Squad on Saturday night too. Just buy a GA ticket on the night, get a pass from Wendy up the back into the CS area, and join in the fun.

And his miss from 15 metres out that turned the game.

Just heartbreaking stuff. I was in tears too, but in my living room.

That loss was all Des's fault! It created his jinx legend!

It was dreadful. My daughter was crying and grown men were crying on the tram on the way home.

A woman's daughter sitting next to me was crying - top tier behind the goals at the southern end. Maybe that was you?

Thanks for the offer JF but I'm meeting up with a couple of other friends from Sydney who are also down for the game. And my days of sitting with cheer squads are long past although I'm usually not sitting too far away from you guys when Sydney plays at Telstra Stadium.

                      Same. Truly horrible moment.

For the record, I'll be there Scott, I think we're getting reserved seats. I'll check.

We were up the top behind the goals, but I don't know what end it was. My daughter was about 22 then (but looks about16). Probably a lot of daughters were crying that night!
