Huh!?!
You are confusing the two bounces. They are talking about getting of the umpire's bounce.
Schneider's bounce was a skill error.

The skill of bouncing the football from hand to ground and back again is as follows:
Ball is held in both hands, with the grip about a smidgen forward of the centre of the footy with laces up. When running with the ball and attempting to bounce one should guide the footy with one hand, usually your natural hand (ie. is the person left or right handed). The underside of the ball just back from the forward point of the ball should strike the ground. This allows the ball, due to its shape, to bounce back at such an angle that it bounces into the arms of the player who executes the bounce, not the opposing player.
This skill is usually done naturally by a one year old person who is handed a footy. It may take that person some time to get right, usually with the tutorlage of an adult with some knowledge of the game. the skill is honed at school and when the child begins Auskick at prep or grade one.
Hope that helps you LittleSchneider with the understanding of a basic skill of the game.

Ah Nico, you forgot to mention that the player should watch the ball while it travels from hand to ground and back to hand. Schneids had a quick look up (footsteps?) and all was lost.
Is LS advocating the removal of the running bounce? Maybe if the Swans were allowed to throw the ball instead of handpass they might hit more targets. Or maybe LS just didn't read very carefully, again...
Maybe we should get rid of the running bounce.
Oh and by the way - when that incident happened the commentator immediately said "Hence, this is the reason why we should get rid of the bounce"....Maybe Im not the only one who thinks so
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

Did Roy and HG call the game somewhere? If not, who said that?
That incident with Schneider was the defining point of the game. There was some hope up until then. Even my Mum who is going blind and deaf acknowledged this. Mind you the yell I gave at that point would have woken the dead.

But ROK a player at Under 12 level is so well practised that he doesn't need to watch the ball onto the ground etc.
Yes they should get rid of the bounce and while they are at it players should be able to run into a pack and just lock it up..like our brilliant ball winner mamatthews does over and over again.
Getting rid of that bounce takes the game a step closer to resembling rugby. A ridiculous suggestion. I have a better one. Get rid of Schneider (in 2003 I never imagined that I would say that).
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

Certainly not 9
- Buchannan
- MOL (over 35m)
- Fosdike
- Spriggs
- Jude Bolton (although improving)
- Matthews
- LRT
- Bevan
- Kennelly (at kick ins)
Once most other sides get above 5, they start trading them off. We keep 'em.

Ummm... tongue in cheek comment perhaps...

Skill error or crap ground??
A sainter did it on the boundary and it bounced OOB, Schnieds did it and it went else where. When ever players bounce at TD it seems to have unpredictable results.
I'd say crap ground, but I've seen Schneider do it at least twice before...

Bulldust. There were countless other times players went the bounce.
