    sadness

i used to be upset by all the negative comments on rwo.
now i am on the bandwagon.we did get a bad run from the umps, but that doesn't explain the insipid football we played.
we need another stat..time spent wrestling on the ground..
when are they going to stay on their feet, run forward and back their own ability.
it has to be the coaching!!!!no confidence, give the ball off and hope someone else can do the job,we must have the highest rating in clangers, our only positive stat.
WATCH OUT CARLTON,BRISBANE ETC WE ARE HEADING DOWN TO YOUR END OF THE LADDER.

Welcome to the club. Beware, there will be those who will run you down, maintian that all is actually ok, will praise our ugly, boring, skill-less, predicatable, boring, boring, ugly, boring style of play when we beat another down and outer, and say, "hey a win is a win, we don't have the cattle". But those sides we beat are the St Kildas of 3 years ago, the Geelongs of 3 years ago, the Richmonds and Hawthorns of this year and last who will go ahead of us next year. I am not saying we should tank it but "our cattle" are not up to scratch. Lets see what the kids have got. FFS surely it is time. Get half a dozen of the in for the rest of the season and lets see if maybe the cattle of the future are amongst the poddy calves. If the Swans think that playing this sort of footy, staggering into 8th or 7th or maybe 6th, is going to keep the fans happier than blooding some kids, suffering some loses, missing the 8 but giving us something to hope for, then I think they are wrong. What I watched last night was a disgrace. Mrs L and I had given some consideration to going to Melb for the w/e but did not get someone to look after the kids organised in time. Glad we did not. As Nico said elsewhere, an insult to Melb members and an insult to those who travelled to the game.

If they are worried about the effect of missing finals for a couple of years will have, with the way they are going, the end result will be the same, only it will take a few more years. Playing boring football year after year with no real hope of genuine success will slowly erode crowds anyway.

Yes there are some people who want us to be winners and that's all that matters, but there are others who can handle losing if there is an attempt at improvement and an attempt at playing an attractive style of football. Quite simply, the club needs to work out exactly how they plan to achieve genuine success and forget about crowds etc. Success will lift the numbers. Finishing 6-8 each year won't.

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I would like to see Roos' 3 (or was it 5?) year plan made public. At the time it seemed like the presentation of his plan to the club was one of the main reasons for his appointment. If that is so then surely his success must be judged against it to some extent. Perhaps his powerpoint presentation could be sent as an attachment to the next members' newsletter.

          A shocker of a night

I agree with all that have previously posted. Yes blood some of the reserves least they have a chance to give it a go. Shock some of the high $$$ paypacket players and let them have a turn in reserves it cant hurt either team. Not only the game was a shocker my family decided to take the hour trek into Sydney to watch the game "live" at the social club. Not to be. Watched the delayed telecast with the bias commentators who are negative against anything Sydney does. Cold quiet trip home taking longer then normal thanks to the many booze bus's along the way.

An experience I wish to forget quickly and hope a good win or at least a better playing game next week will help fade our poor effort of last night
