Four scoring shots to half time is terrible - no excuses. In fact it's worse than terrible - it's tragic. It's the equal lowest number for the year (equal with Carlton in their loss to Richmond).

Kirk: The worst cuplrit of handballing to a man under pressure. Every time he picks up the loose ball he handballs instantly to a voice without looking up. Often the voice is unsighted to the pressure he's under, and gets instantly tackled.
Not sure why people call for it then. I did notice a couple of times that he gets the ball in a pack and instead of other players looking to make space so they can receive it outside and run off with it, they also dash into the pack and hence get a handball at arm's length. Seems again the problem of preference to bottle it up rather than get it out.
Matthews: It is beyond a joke that he is classified as leadership material. He plays favourites with his disposals perfering to kick to a contested buddy, than a young guy 30m clear.
This @@@@s me and I've noticed it more and more.

Jolly/Ball: Poor ruckwork. Seemed to be no system. When they had a clear non-contested tap, they sent it straight to a pack of saints.
I wonder how much of this is them and how much is our ruck set ups. Given we have so many you'd think we could get it right.
Swans: No matter how infuriating they are to watch "live", 2nd time around I kind of like them.
I sometimes watch the second time around in really bad games just so I can work out what they are doing wrong.

Barry that is a very good call on Mathews. I recall that incident.

My memory is a player was way on his own, Mathews spotted him, thought, no I 'll go to a contest. It was very early on and suspect it resulted in a turn over and goal.

It was so obvious that he spotted the player in the clear. Indictable for mine.

It was at least twice in the first half. Not only was the young guy clear, he was up the spine. Double whammy. Heaven forbid we take the shortest route to goal.

          A bit harsh on Kirk.

A lot of players play on instinct and handball to a shirt or voice, trusting their teammates to be in a better/less pressured position to dispose of the ball effectively. Bloods is right a lot of players rush in to get the ball rather than waiting around the edges, to get the crumbs, when the ball pops out. They also rush in to bottle the ball up to try and avoid a holding the ball decision, when they know there teammate is unable to get the ball out, without giving it to the opposition.

Not taking all blame away from him, as he did handball to players 5m+ away and missed them completely.

Knowing the result already made it easier to watch.

We werent that bad. Endevour was up there.
Watching the game on TV won't show how static the team was - no run off the ball at all. Nor will it necessarily show how poor some of the options chosen were - ie to hang onto the ball while a team mate was in space and then kick it to his feet as two opponents close in around him.

What are the chances of the coaches getting a hold of this? Interesting reading.

It shows the mistakes were pretty much across the board. I'll rule out those who had less than 6 possessions because of sample error (that's only Saddo and Vogels).

C Bolton has been our link man the last couple of games. His performance obviously hurt us.

              G-Hulk's goals tell Leo's story.

Ball was/is not match fit yet.

LRT - out, Schauble - in.

Bucky - in the middle of the pack but those missed goals really hurt.

Bevan - disappointing so far this season. Needs time out to have a good hard look at himself.

Love to see Moore and Dempster back in.

What is it with our guys that they either kick or handball so that it lands more often than not a couple of feet in front of the target. Handballing or kicking just a metre to either side is another favourite option, as is kicking or handballing over the head of the target.

And it's not just last weekend, although that was the worst example for a while.

                  From BBB:
"We went through the individual tapes, we didn't sit through the game all together. Roosy pulled out clips of play and he said he could have pulled out 100 skill errors there were so many."

Apparently Roosy missed about 100 errors....

Very true Liz. At the game it was so obvious that none was prepared to run to space. The number of times we got in the back half only to see the wings vacant of our players and no one running to that space, Goodes excepted but he went 100 metres to get there.

To much individualism worrying about their own man.

As a team we were a rabble.
