    I can only speak for myself but I thought we played very well in the 1st Q. We got out to a 4 goal lead and played good footy, sometimes I think people in the media only say this stuff because it is expected.
    I completely agree mate. I thought the footy we showed especially in the opening minutes of the 1st quarter was just excellent. Tadgh today was more like his real self, taking them on and running from half back with a bit of dash. Both Boltons were great, with Hall good as well.

    How they could say the first half was dour is beyond me. I think you are right. They have all hopped on the 'Sydney is boring' bandwagon. An exciting game will make them look like idiots, hence they keep plugging the same line.

            Under similar circumstances Malthouse, Pagan, Wallace, Frawley and even that idiot Peter Schwab were spared the treatment Roos is currently getting. And Roos is winning games!

            Why? I'm not entirely sure. But I think that Roos has become very much a 'soft' target. Maybe it's distance. Maybe they're just following each other around like blind mice. Maybe they feel 'sanctioned' by the Chief Dick himself.

            Whatever the reason, like Akimbo I'm over it. As far as I'm concerned the Melbourne Media Mafia can just open up a can of shut-the-******-up and start treating the Swans with the same 'impartiality' as all the other clubs.
            To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

                        Normally underperforming Melbourne teams are given a major razz in the paper and other media and for weeks on end. Sheedy and Essendon have copped it before, so has Richmond and Collingwood and Hawthorn and Schwab.

                        This year is the first time that the Swans have ever really copped a lot from the media. This sort of scrutiny is applied to the Melbourne clubs all the time.

                        You may not like it but this is what the media does. It just happens to be Sydney's turn.

                            The reason they leave Malthouse, Pagan, Sheedy and Wallace alone is they always seem to have a comeback that usually guzzups the likes of Sheahan. And remember it is in the interest of Sheahan and his cohorts to brown nose to these blokes, because that is where they get their stories from. These coaches are the consummate self promoters of their next career move, so are happy to feed as much dribble to the journos as they are prepared to lap up. They are all part of the AFL clique.
