I have been a Jude knocker for a while, and have been especially critical of his inability to keep his feet and his desire to dive into packs regardless of, admittedly his own good health, but also where his team mates were positioned and whether the ball was likely to come out or not. I don't know if it is the new interpretation of the holding the ball rule, the fact that others are getting in and under a bit more, if Roos/Lyons have slightly modified his role, or if he has just improved, but I think he is having a super season thus far. His endeavour is 100% (it has never been anything else) but his disposal has really improved (possibly because he is finding a bit more space for himself). If he has as good a second half to the season as his first I would think he will do very well in the B&F, and maybe top 10 in the Brownlow. I think he and Ablett have been the standouts this year, and it is good to see that Hall is finally starting to look fit and run into some form.
Hats off to Jude

Good morning Mr Lobster. Yes, I totally agree with you. From the day Jude missed that goal that cost us the game against Essendon at the SCG some years back, I've not been a big fan of his. However, that has changed this year for me. He has been consistently good this year and I have found myself giving him a vote in almost every TLM round.Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat. -

if he keeps this up he's a good chance for All Australian.then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i knowComment

I think he is tops. I'm putting it out there. Judah for Brownlow. He'd at least have no probs with the tanning, plucking, waxing, grooming, blondeness that is the Brownlow Night
I thought yesterday's effort was stellar. He was quick and sharp with his kicking. I'm sure I have mentioned before, I really like the way he gets knocked down and without blinking an eyelid, gets right back up again and chases it down even harder... I really admire that determination. All class. He and Kirk are quite similar in that regard.Last edited by Tuesday; 5 June 2005, 02:27 PM.And you can't find nothing at all,

One area he has really improved in is his centre bounce work.
He is getting foot to ball a lot more often which gives us better clearance. In the past he dived on it and held up play. Keeping his feet a lot better also.
His kick to MOL in the lastQ was a pearler, beautifully weighted.Comment

yeah very impressed with jude yesterday
i noticed his foot disposal was excellent a few times yesterday. hit bazza on the tit a few times lace out
i just wish sometimes he would use the ball a bit better after the centre bounce rather than just bang it forward with a mongrel punt. needs to learn from the dal santo book of evasiveness and create some space and/or use another option
but in saying that i have no problem with banging the ball forward at every opportunityRoosy = LEGENDComment

Moderators should remove your post immediately, it could start a terrible trend !
On a serious note, he has improved his dispoal dramatically, and agree he seems to have curbed some of his more suicidal work.Comment

The big change is he seems to know much better when to keep his feet and when to dive in.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Once again Jude was absolutley fearless yesterday going for the ball, as he has been pretty much all year. Just in, over the ball not caring about who is coming at him. It must be very inspirational for other players on the field too watch him go at it and win ball.
Go Jude.Comment
