    Mid Season Report

    Your club's mid-season report card
    SYDNEY: 6-5, 6th

Watch this space: The best of the new players has been midfielder Luke Ablett.

X-factor: Their style has come under intense scrutiny. A more attacking brand might equate to better results.

Missing in action: Adam Goodes, Barry Hall and Jude Bolton have been quiet. Paul Williams and Nick Davis should return from injury.

Love your work: First stand-in captain after Stuart Maxfield was Brett Kirk. He has justified the honour.

Road ahead: There are six games at home, but none of them are certainties. Might not be capable of producing the goods to sneak into the eight.

    In a word: UGLY
MIA - Goodes, Hall, and Bolton??????

What drugs is this one on???

While Hall has not kicked as many goals as he could have, he has still been a dominant player, and Goodes has had a terrific season, and this is probably Boltons best year yet.

    Halls 1st 10 rnds 2004 and 2005
    Code:

    2005 10	105	70	37	142	27	21	17	12	8	15

Those MIAs are so funny they're bad. Those three, along with Kirk and Barry would be so far ahead in our B&F at the moment its not funny - not that that is such a great achievement, but still.

The two key MIAs, IMO, have been O'Keefe and Kennelly - not that they've been dreadful but both are capable of far more consistent output than they've delivered so far.

Obviously catering for the Melbourne market and telling them what they want to hear. I can't believe the drivel. Must have been written pre yesterday's game because you'd have to pull it after yesterday's result...practically contradicted everything that happened in that game. More original thought required please.

            Hahaha!

But seriously, do people not watch the games??? There has been far too many errors made in the journalistic world of late. I was not subscribing to 'the media are on the bandwagon' mentality, but I really don't think there is a better explaination for this heinous display of bandwagonism. It's damn obvious these people do not actually watch the game!

JUDE MIA?!?!? Is she having brain seizures?

Yep - probably written during the week. However, even so, the MIAs are laughable!

That's so wrong its really quite annoying. She obviously knows nothing about Sydney.

Would be very surprised if Bolton isn't leading the B&F this year.

Not watching games is a fad in Melbourne I think.

Robert Walls on The Couch last week: "I must admit I have not watched the Swans play this year before that game but.... {insert bull**** in here}"

The moment I hear that I lose all respect for the journo. If it is your livelihood to provide opinion on something, then there is no excuse for not watching every single game. Even if you have to refer to highlights reels for the occassional game due to time constraints, how on earth can you confidentally provide commentary on something you admit to know nothing about??

Getting player names wrong, or calling a match where 32 goals are scored "dour" just makes the media look like morons.

The assessment should have been more like:

Watch this space: Or a few of the games. I haven't so dont ask me.

X-factor: Everyone is critical of them, so if they win a lot of games everyone will be wrong.

Missing in Action: Melbourne reporters at Swans games.

Love your work: Robert Walls and Mike Sheahn. They provide us with all of the (uninformed) opinion we need so we dont have to watch these games.

Road Ahead: Dont really know, because I dont intend to watch their games. Apparently they are boring so I have better things to do on my weekend.

                            In a word: PREJUDGED.
