    Surprise debut

Paul Roos has been quoted as saying about this weeks game:
"We have got Schneider who is in, and there may be a bit of a surprise with a young fella playing his first game and that will be exciting for that particular guy who doesn?t know yet."
Any ideas about who it might be?
And with Cressa and the 'surprise debutant' coming in - who will make way and why?

James Meiklejohn is the likely suspect.

In last week's Reserves match against Ainslie in Canberra , I was very impressed with James Meiklejohn . Of the younger players he was the standout player. The Swans are crying out for a ruckman and the inclusion of Meiklejohn would release Goodes to play elsewhere rather than as a knock ruckman.

It will be a good initiation for Meiklejohn if he does play. Jeff White is no easy beat! The pressure of ruck of Goodes would be great though. IMO Goodes has been the star of the team this year, if only he could get it through the big sticks.

I hate to say it but if Micklejohn comes in my guess is Stevens might drop out.

Cressa for Macpherson is an easy one I think.

Has the big Rookie ruckman been promoted to the main list yet ?

If it keeps on raining it may not be a game for the tall timber

Goodes thrashed White last year at the M.C.G.

Good luck to to big Mek anyway - a young kid and a local

Yep, he has been (as per the article posted above).

I reckon there might be a couple of tickets waiting at the Qantas terminal at Tullamarine with "Malceski" on them.

Do you know something we don't Steve?

Personally I tend to agree- Melbourne are one of the few teams that we could get away with a "mobile" ruck division so they may be saving Meiklejohn for the bigger ruckman down the track.

Therefore Malceski or other "midfield" types should be considered to counter Melbourne's run.
