If the team sheet is anything to go by (and we know that it isnt ) then we may well see how Vogels goes in defense.

But then again, he'll probably rot on the bench for 100 minutes.

Dempster and Williams should be in the side. With the Dockers' defence being tested for height and depth this week, including two players that can kick it long to Bazza would give our forward line the potency it needs to beat the Dockers convincingly. With the Dockers having only 25 players to choose from this week, I expect the 'bad' Dockers to turn up.

Willo is an automatic inclusion if fit.

Dempster in for Vogels would be my choice. I have nothing against Vogels, but having Dempster and Vogels in the same side requires us to drop more experienced players. I think there's a rotation policy in place for selections this year, and it may simply be Vogels' turn.

I'd like to see in the team from those on the bench:

            J. Ball, N. Malceski, S. Dempster, P. Williams
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

              In Williams
              Out Nicks

That's my prediction for the only change.

If Williams is a late withdrawal, I think Saddington will come in.

I'll take that if it means he bobs up for a couple of inspiring goals in the last quarter to give the Swans a win.
Actually I'd love anyone do that.

What's with all the Monty bashing? He had an excellent game on Saturday considering he only had 10 possessions. When he did get it he had a 90% effectiveness rate. Try actually watching the game.

One sloppy effort early in the game (where he held it too long and then handballed to someone who was hot) means you obviously stopped watching what he did thereafter. Thought you had a little more attention to detail than that, Nico.

Also he makes less mistakes than several others in the team...Barry, O'Keefe, Mathews, Ball, Schneider, Nicks and LRT to name a few off the top of my head.

My bench would be Ball, Dempster, Malceski and Williams

Really got to wonder where Schauble is at. Has been in and out of the team the last few weeks supposedly due to a 'horses-for-courses' selection policy. Last week he had a shocker against Whitnall.

If Whitnall is the sort of guy Shauble is in the team for coz he's slow, then how many other forwards in the rest of the competition is Schauble going to be required to play on? I can't see an obvious opponent for him this week.

And if he is continually put in and out of the side, how can he be expected to get any decent game fitness so that he's going to be ready to go when he is required for a decent defensive job?

This is a sorry state of affairs for a one time club champion and the backbone of our defense over the last 2 years.

But fresh legs did work the other week...

I think it's an interesting move if Roosy does play him at Fullback. I thought it was a typo and were doing team lists the South Australian way for a brief moment, but am warming to the idea. If we're giving LRT a shot at all, then why not Vogels in defence? Perhaps he'll find his niche and end up playing the 100 mins instead of watching from the sidelines... I'm sure he'd love that!

That said, I would have preferred to see The Pout back into the run-on side. I guess we'll see how things turn out in less than 47 hours

You're new to all of this, aren't you? Don't worry, after a few years you'll start getting numb at the thought of having to go through the stress of watching a swans game at the weekend!
