    Swans stars among indigenous greats

    Tele
THE Sydney Swans' two-time all-Australian Michael O'Loughlin and Brownlow medallist Adam Goodes were yesterday elevated into elite company when they were named in the Australian football Indigenous Team Of The Century squad.
The squad includes current-day high achievers, Brownlow medallists Wanganeen and Goodes, Norm Smith medallists Andrew McLeod, Byron Pickett, Long and Brisbane Lions premiership players Chris Johnson and Darryl White, alongside the superstars of yesterday Peter Matera, Nicky Winmar, Phil Krakouer, Gilbert McAdam, Michael McLean, Graham "Polly" Farmer and Barry Cable.

      No ugly footy there!

Good to see they named some of the old WAFL stars. Steve Michael was one of the best tap ruckmen I ever saw.

They forgot a guy called Elkin Reilly who played for South in the 60's. He was a ruckman of some talent.

Peter Matera and Aboriginal! You could knock me over with a fevver. So Phil is too! They must go back to the early settler days as I can not see any semblance to the indigenious race.

Peter must also have the Guiness Book of Records prize for the biggest smoking aborigine. About a 3 pack a day smoker.
