Did any one else notice Dempster now has really dark hair? He's dyed it black!

Lol I noticed that - we were chatting at the match saying last time we were here he had blonde hair

Also Bam Bam didn't have his armband on - that was the other thing we noticed.

Not sure but it was definitely the first time that I've noticed he wasn't wearing it this year.

The view from Bay 28: so-so today. It was a win, yes, and I'll take it. But it was just.... blagggghhhh. Not much of anything.

B2: Awesome job on The Pav. Unlucky with many of the calls against him, but fought hard and did well. Looked like he copped a 'Freo hello' forearm in the head in the opening seconds of the match... anyone else see that?

Ugh! The fumbling... superglue, lads. Stick the marks.

WILLO: R E S P E C T. I admire anyone who can come back following a broken clavicle (and calf strain) in six weeks. He really stepped up. I agree with whomever said he made the team look completely different, because that's exactly what he did.

KENNELLY: Average. Disappointing. Mediocre. Pedestrian. No 'tuck, suck and burn' worth mentioning for Mr Ordinary today. Even in defence, it was more a case of Freo sucking than him doing much positive -- who was he on for most of the match, anyway? Big call, Liz, about him being potentially a sensational player.

KIRKY: The most obvious thing today was that Kirky was not right without Jude. I thought his effort last week was solid, even though Jude got most of the credit: Kirk, by stepping up and playing fabulously, challeneged Jude and he responded. Thus, Kirky needs Jude. It's a symbiotic relationship.

DEMPSTER (aka The Pout): I like him dark - emphasis on the tanned limbs and ever-present Pout. I thought he did ok. Not great, but good enough to keep his spot. He is a low key player and, as I have mentioned before, he does the hard yards for little credit. He is the unsung hero of the backline, after B2. Hero is not the correct word, but I'm struggling to think of anything else at this stage. Late!

McVEIGH: Starting to show glimmers of hope. I always wondered why on earth he was still in the side, but today, I think it was the best game I have seen him play.

MALCESKI (aka Eski): Did he play today? Tough, but failed to impress on his second outing. Happens, so I'm not entirely worried.

JOLLY: I thought he was the Cookie Monster??? Well, to us, he is the Biscuit Bandit, anyhoo. I loved the hit up! Though, what use is he if he continually spends weeks on the sidelines? Channel your aggression, son! That said, showing a bit of colour never hurt, either.

LEO: Love it. Evading tackles, thundering down the field. Love it.

PS: Cruiser -- sprained ankle? Late night dancing on tables?

I thought Dempster had a good game for the first time playing in the midfield. He had a shut down following role on Heath Black and absolutely shut him out for the first 3 quarters keeping him to only 3 or so possies.

Saddo is a real worry though, just looks totally sapped of confidence, making dumb dumb decisions but at least he finds the ball. I'd keep him on.

Kirk to me had a very quiet game until i found out he still had 21 disposals!

Bucky well what to say. He knew Jude was out so there needed to be another kamakazi type to get that ball out and he did really good. I guess with him you take his good and bad, thankfully there was alot more good today. His best game in the R & W for sure. Schneider watch and learn please.

C-Bolts was unbelievable. Like Des said in the other thread, it didnt matter how many possies Pavlich got, they were mostly up the ground where he was less dangerous.

Jason Ball hasn't had much raps but i thought he was fantastic. Grabbing the ball out of the ruck and getting the quick kick forward down to Hall which lead to a goal in the 3rd.

Micky O: Now this is why i fork out 300 bucks for a membership each year. Excitement machine!

Goodes: His confidence is definately back and 03 form is coming in for the ride in 05 too!

Malceski: God is he a hard nut, didn't do much but he was very persistent which is always promising for a youngster. Dunno if he'll make it to the Colliwobbles match with Jude coming back but i would like to see him in.

                  finally BARRY HALL FOR CAPTAIN!!!

That's because he had only 3 to half time!

At one stage I asked my neighbour "Is Kirk playing?"

Poor Cruiser! All that effort, and no entertainment
