Jude Bolton's Injury?

Apparently it was hamstring tightness during the week so they decided to take the cautious approach and sit him out of the game, rather than risk another Nick Davis v Essendon type incident.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

So it would be very likely he'd play the collingwood game?"Red and White for blood cells, Red and White for wine."

Re: Jude Bolton's Injury?
How far off the coast did you say you lived? Is there a chance you are from outer space? What is hammy indeed!Originally posted by Slick Swans

It wasnt Willo that made up for missing Jude, it was Buchanan. Without his somewhat surprising display of form, we would have struggled. He was the catalyst for finally blowing away the dockers in that 3rd term.Originally posted by Wil
So RWOers... Did the Swans miss Jude Bolton? Or is it too hard to say due to the relatively easy win? I always thought he was an important player in the team but we didn't skip a beat. It looks like Willo is our most important midfielder.
Dont get me wrong, Willo was great, but plays a different role in the team to what Jude normally does.Visit my eBay store -

Willo is still definitely our most important midfielder. The team functions much better with him. We definitely missed JBolt but fortunately, as Sharpie says, Buchanan filled the void plus Freo aren't a great in-close side.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Sorry I did not mean to imply Willo was able to make up for Jude. I meant that without Willo we really struggle as a team, it took us a few weeks to win without him. Without Jude, well not much changed.Originally posted by sharpie

It seemed to me that we were struggling at times in the first half to get the ball into the forward 50 often and quickly enough. Fortunately our forwards were far to good for the opposition and we scored on the occasions that the ball did make it in. Jude is our best at inside 50s this season (although Willo would be number 1 if he had played more) and one of the best in the AFL. So, I'd assume that him playing may have seen us win by a few more goals and perhaps the contest would have been over at half time.Originally posted by Wil

May be fair comment but it took perhaps Monty's best ever game to replace Jude. Excellent that he did stand up tho - and when Jude returns hopefully he'll have the confidence to know he can play this role in support.Originally posted by Wil

Yeah that is the point I was making. We apparently did not seem to miss Jude like we have missed Willo, but we really would have missed him badly if Buchanan was not as good as he was.Originally posted by giant
