    Sydney swans social club

Is the social club similar to an RSL club, with meals and poker machines. My wife and I are members and are coming up for the weekend of the Collingwood game and we are bringing our son, but he is not a member, will they allow him entry. Also how far away from Meriton World Tower is it, can you walk there.

    Cheers

If your son is 18 or over, then as long as he lives more than 5km away from the club he won't have a problem getting in - otherwise he'll still be OK because you can sign him in as your guest.
    If he's under 18 I don't think they'd let him in.

Yes I am aware, we are staying at World Tower and I just wanted to know if you can walk from there to the social club. My son is 15 by the way.

        Cheers

It is walkable - though a fair walk, straight up George then William St. Probably about 30-40mins. A cab fare would be around $10.

Get a cab, would not recommend that particular walk with a 15 y/o on a Saturday night !

Can't be that bad, maybe it could be the night that makes him a man.

The under 18s are allowed in the upstairs area arent they? But must have a parent with them at all times. But I think this is only when a function is on... im not sure if there would be a function this game as it is at Bush

Or catch a train if you dare - a short walk to Town Hall Station and then 2 stops to King Cross on the Bondi Junction Line (Platform 5).

The only likeness that particular area has to a fish farm would be the old swimming hole in which Blinky (Simpsons three-eyed fish) was discovered.
