        5th sounds good.

For the next rounds, these are the must-wins and probably-won't-win games..

        vs Collingwood - Must win
        vs Richmond - Must win
        vs Geelong - Must win
        vs Melbourne - Won't win
vs West Coast - Won't win
        vs Adelaide - Must win
        vs Essendon - Won't win
        vs Brisbane - Must win
        vs Kangaroos - Must win
        vs Hawthorn - Must win

..And then that means we'll finish on roughly 14 wins (due to my view is subject to change) and wouldn't that make us the same as last year? I forget. I do think too we'll end up 4th or 5th.

We don't want another Gehrig. Despite the looks.

We should beat Essendon and there's no reason why we can't beat West Coast at the SCG.

I agree that we can finally beat Essendon in Melbourne (I should go down for that one) but I wish I shared your confidence about beating West Coast.

im worried that everyone seems to assuming we'll beat collingwood!!

remember they beat West Coast, they are a young team with nothing to lose and their captain coming back from injury - it is by no means going to be an easy game to win, in fact i think there is a great possibility we could go down at Telstra.
We play very different games - they thump it long and hard, and we chip it around... could go either way

The only significant factor about us now being ahead of Richmond is that it makes us a decent chance to beat them - given that we only beat teams below us on the ladder!

And with Geelong losing at the moment, if (and I'm not taking anything for granted) we beat the Pies and Tigers, we will be ahead of them when we meet them at the SCG the following week.

I actually was hoping Collingwood would win last week so they'd be on a high from winning. I'm not assuming, I've actually thought about it and I think we can do it. Why not?

And as for Nathan Buckley, when he returns, it won't be like when Paul Williams came back and played a great game. Nathan will be different. Not exactly his best (despites his injury was longer, wasn't it?)

Only the most negative swans supporters (yes, you know who you are) wouldnt beleive we can beat a team in the lower half of the ladder, with a distinct home ground advantage, while at nearly full strength.

A good 60 point thumping would go some way to closing the % gap we have against Geelong, Melbourne and Adelaide.

I'm definitely one of them and I wouldn't take the game against Collingwood lightly. I still don't believe that the Swans are on a solid winning roll and saying that they would thump the Pies by 60 points is really a premature statement at least. They had opportunity to thump Freo last Sunday and they didn't do it. So, go figure.

It's hardly being negative. Collingwood are a team who despite being without their two most important players still managed to beat Geelong & WC and who were only beaten by a few points by Adelaide and North, who both beat Sydney rather convincingly. For your sake i hope Sydney don't think they just have to turn up because we've seen what can happen when they've done that.

He got through the game today at Box Hill ok so if he lines up next Saturday night why can't he play a significant role? After what happened last time i doubt they'd play him if he couldn't contribute. He might lack a little match fitness as today showed but he'll be better for having the run.

We should definately not take them lightly, but a win is expected. The fact that we would be 3rd equal if we won, shows how close the comp is, so no one needs to be taken lightly.

I didnt say we'd win by 60, in fact the way Roos pulls key players in the last quarter, we have no chance at all. But it would be a good % boost.
