    Next three games

    This thread got overwritten.

How will we go for the next 3 rounds?
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

If you add in one more week, as it stands right now, we play the top 4 teams in the next 4 weeks. We could either be pushing for a top 4 finish, struggling to hold a spot in the 8, or anywhere in between depending on the results.

We'd really need to go at least 2-2 to have any hope of being taken seriously come September, and IMHO the home games are our best chance of doing that.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Who knows? We can beat Geelong, like we can beat the Kangas and Richmond...
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

To be taken seriously we need to do a lot better than 2-2. We need to beat Melbourne at the Dome, a ground we have played OK at in the past. Adelaide at home is a stretch, but lets face it 2-2 leaves us, as per usual, middle of the road. If we're going anywhere we need to do better than that.

It's costing us a hell of alot for each game we do not proceed to win.

I can't stand to not see us in the finals.

I can. If we are not good enough, we simply don't deserve to be there.

Let's face it, we are NEVER going to win a flag with the team we have now. If not making the finals forces a few people at the club (and the AFL) to finally bite the bullet and seriously rebuild, then maybe it may not be such a bad things after all.Just making the finals then bombing out is not going to get us anywhere any more.

Still having said all that, I definitely want us to win tonight, next Saturday night, against the Evils and in Adelaide. Not overly confident though.

Lose tonight and we can be possibly 9th. A top 8 draft pick will look very possible then.

Team that finishes 9th will get the 10th pick at best. Neither Carlton nor Hawthorn looks likely to score 6 wins and thus both will get a priority pick.

I guess the way I look at it, beating Adelaide in Adelaide is probably unlikely. Beating Melbourne...well, that depends on whether they turn up to play. Beating West Coast on their form this year will be a tough ask and Geelong could go either way. If we win 2 of those, I will be satisfied, 3 and I will be surprised!

Good time to be hitting Melbourne next week. Looks like their wheels are falling off at the moment. Also glad we dont have to face Port again, apart from possible finals, coz they look like they are getting their stuff together at the right end of the year. Hope we can do likewise.

That is why last week's effort was so utterly disappointing.
