    Umpires V Swans

    Thought the Thread title was appropriate!!

    Brett Allan, Darren Morris and Sean Ryan.

    Not a fan of Brett Allan but don't have an issue with the other two, probably at least until the end of the game tomorrow night anyway!!

      Well, if there are no issues with the other two, then how about we try and get off on the right foot with them for a change? If everyone on RWO puts in $2, we could get a couple of lovely gift baskets for Messrs Morris and Ryan. Better value than just forking out $20k IMO - adds the personal touch Throw in a few Darren Morris and Sean Ryan footy biscuits and we'll be staring at a 20-2 free kick count in our favour in no time!

      Forget Goldspink, we may as well burn that bridge, but if we could work on the umpires that DON'T hate us...

          Fantastic idea!! I think we should get together and work out an Umpires theme song to play as they walk out onto the ground through their very own banner!!

          Something like...

          If you cheer and love us
          And treat us like a hero
          Then the free kick count will be
          Swans 20 to the cats zero!

                          A little off topic, but the herald sun has us last (16th) for free kicks to v against since round 7. 101 for to 144 against.

                          Having only been back in the country for 3 weeks and seen two games that does not surprise me at all.

                                          Its not the umpires who tell Leo Barry to tackle his opposition man without the ball.

                                          Its not the umpires who make Ball grab the other ruckman during the contest.

                                          Its not the umpires that make most of the Swans players drag the ball under them when they are tackled.

                                              Woooo! Beware the hypnotic power of umpires! The presence of a brightly-coloured umpire can make rabbit hunting easy, stop buffalo in their tracks, make pigeons fall from the sky and swans do silly things.

                                                  Your right. I am going to go out on a limb here. I bet if there were no umpires during an AFL match, the Swans would never give away a free kick!
