    Jason Cloke?

Could we entertain the thought of picking up Jason Cloke as an un-contracted player at years end?

Does not meet our KP requirments in all aspects but would at least add to our defensive depth, especially if Schuable ends up finishing this year.

    IMHO would be worth a pre-season pick-up.

Wouldn't touch Cloke at all. His value in the Collingwood grand final years was mainly as the 3rd man up in contests. Once he was moved to play an accountable role, he was shown up. I would prefer to stick with LRT than go with Cloke.

        What you been smoking there?
Those Clokes are among the biggest bunch of CPs ever to put on a black and white jumper. They are absolute clowns and with the number of turnovers they produce in a game, they make LRT look like James Hird.
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Wash your mouth out. J. Cloke is useless.

But, Fevola is worth a pot shot.

Fevola re-signed with the Blues for some ridiculous amount.

And didn't he show his value on the weekend with a sterling effort.

Would love big Trav, Cameron is a lunatic and Jason....well Jason the loose man in defence. We've got one of those, his name is Saddo and you only need one.

Carlton is the biggest joke going around at the moment. They lack structure, KPPs, their youngsters aren't terribly exciting, and have accumulated a nice group of rejects from other clubs. Poor Kouta has to fill in the gaps at the moment: plays in the midfield, CHB, key forward and ruckman.

How Pagan isn't under more scrutiny is beyond me.

Actually Travis makes LRT look like LRT.

I'd rather have Ed Clarke in a key position for us then Jason 'loose man in defence' Cloke.

Yeah, Travis looks like the best of the Clokes in terms of potential. Wouldn't be interested in the others. Probably, however, the Magpies would have realised this and demand more in return. Not sure what would be a fair trade.

If LRT does make it as a key defender within the next couple of years (bringing LRT into yet another thread - what a surprise!)- he should end up better than either of the other 2 Clokes.

We've still got Vogels as a young KPP, and has everyone forgotten about Matthew 'Smoky' Davis?

From what I've seen of 'Smoky', he has a long way to go to being a KPP. He is very slight and relatively small, in fact I would say Tim Schmidt looks bigger than he does.

I haven't seen anything of him at all - just that when he was drafted he was considered a tall defender. The Swans do seem to have some trouble in picking the youngsters with the potential to bulk up later on (Saddington; Sundqvist still looks skinny; McVeigh; even Fosdike isn't that big). Maybe that's why going for mature-aged recruits like Vogels seems to be preferred by Roos, particularly when trying to get KPP.

Isn't the story that the older two Clokes were recruited mainly to get the third one, with the second one having some potential, and the eldest not much at all.
