Well looks like the kids will be put in over the next few weeks, not expectedly but more due to injury. Schauble will be out for at least a month, with bolton probably missing next week and warfe to be dropped and never play for sydney again.
So it looks like LRT , Powell and Sundquist will come in, so it looks like we will find out sooner rather than later about how these players hold up in the thick of battle.
Unfortunately Roos probably didnt plan for them to come in this soon and especially against the grand finalists from last year for their first games.
The next few weeks is going to be huge for some of these kids and I really hope it doesnt kill their confidence and their football careers.

I have seen it so many times that players keep getting rewarded for poor performances, what kind of culture is this to keep going ?
I know we cant just throw the kids in, but we have to get the message to players like warfe that his performances arent good enough.
I say warfe out. How can we need him if he is so bad. Throw a kid in. It really is a catch 22 situation, but I say kid in, warfe out.

For mine, I'd like to see Baz go down to defense when he he's getting trashed in the forward line (bummer about his marking atm though). His tuffness could lend something down back.

I think we need to keep Warfe. Unless Seymour is ready for a direct swap. We will need as much experience as possible down there. He may be a clown with the ball, but he has good defender nous, and is a good stopper.

It could be a good time for Stevens to be tried in defence too.

Nicks also needs to go back to half back. He gave away half a dozen stupid frees tonight.

Blight used him down back for a few games at St Kilda and it didnt work at all.

How bad is Heath James' knee injury? I would have thought him the most likely person to come up should somebody else suffer a long-term injury.

Don't think we should be pinning our hopes on James. He's not expected to start playing footy at any level until May or June, and remember that he won't have played more than a handful of games for a couple of years. There then has to be a huge question mark as to whether his body will stand up. And if it does, how will his injuries have affected his confidence?

It would be a fantastic story if he does make it back, but it's surely got to be looked upon as a bonus rather than the potential saving of the Sydney backline.

seymour played strong in the reserves and looked fit enough.Sadly he seemed to spend much of his time in the forward line, where most of the action was, so i hope Roos is not gonna keep trying him there.
He is certain to be selected next week IMHO.

We need him to be in the lineup. Looks like Schauble will definitely miss a few games, and I don't know about Craig Bolton (although they did say on the radio and on the TV coverage during the last quarter that he was lucid). With a Pies forward line containing the likes of Rocca and Molloy, we need someone who can play a bit of physical footy, and Snapper is our best option outside of the 22 who played last night.
