Ball- not kicking for 3 quarters

Was it just me or did anyone else notice that Jason Ball was very reluctant to kick the ball, correct me if I am wrong but i am sure his first kick was when he kicked the goal.
It was noticed particulary when he was on the wing with Hall leadint and he hanballed instead of kicking to Hall.

He had treatment on his calf at some stage (after a particularly poor kick). I think it was Q2 but I am probably wrong. Still, good game.

When he went off in the thrid quarter we missed him, but as soon as he came back on, that was it

Just shows you what a decent ruckmen / big fella can do to a team. Boy did we miss him.
Great to see him firing. Definately on track with 2001 by tonights performance.

Dont discount Meklejohns efforts. His stat sheet might be a little bare, but by using him to pick up Jolly in the last quarter let Goodes and Ball run riot. He was critical to our team balance, and something we have been missing since Doyle went down (our last win).

Did well from what little time on the ball he had, will improve and might have to wait a while for senior action, when Doyle comes back. But long term he is a real find

Yep, I thought Meiklejohn added well to the mix.
